Great idea, failed execution

Loved the idea. Worked great for two nights and then the false alarms started. Would have false alarms or disconnections more often than not. Scary and anxiety provoking to see an alarm that says "low pulse" only to find your baby ticking away at 130 beats/min. I called and discovered the false alarms were due to too much movement. That's fine, except when it happens over and over again. They sent me a replacement monitor for the issue (as well as other issues we were having). This also did not solve the problem. Pulse oximeters in the hospital also have false alarms all the time, not sure why I thought this would be any different.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Eases a Nervous Mind Even more than a Video Monitor

This product helps to ease my mind. I have my newborn's crib set up in the nursery. This product makes it easy to know if my child needs me. I find it more useful then the video monitor. I love the app. I can check at anytime to find my newborn's heartrate and pulse ox ( oxygen saturation).
Pros: Easy to Track Data, Love the Alert System in place
Cons: A little tricky to set up initially, Have to remember to put on the sock

Great product when it works

The owlet worked great the first few nights we tried it! It's a wonderful product when it works. After the first few nights it has been a frustrating product and experience. It disconnects so easily and gives a yellow alert even after trying all the suggestions from the owlet chat help. We haven't been able to use it a full night for about a month now. Again, love the product but it hasn't worked often enough for it to fulfill the purpose for which we purchased it and the monetary investment. We haven't been able to count on it working consistently. I don't usually leave reviews but as a new mom I've unfortunately been disappointed with this product I was so excited about and the customer service. Maybe we just have a faulty owlet, I don't know. I did ask for an exchange on the product after trying all recommended solutions with no success and never heard back from the help chat contact. I really wanted this product to work and still put it on and try it every night. It hasn't worked for about a month now. My experience has been very disappointing and frustrating.

A piece of mind

We use at bedtime to monitor our infant while sleeping. It give us a great piece of mind that if she would stop breathing we would be alerted to it. When she moves a lot the owlet can fall off triggering an alarm to let us know. It is nice that there are different alarms so you don't immediately feel out. We really love this product.
Pros: Different alerts, Easy to use, great app, Small, Smart technology
Cons: Can't use with footed onesies, Falls off with increased baby movement

I purchased the owlet monitor to help me get sleep at night and not feel like I needed to check on my daughter every 10 min. I have heard the blue alarm go off and the yellow alarm. It happens no big deal. I never expected to hear the red alarm. I heard the red alarm go off for the first time so I rushed to my daughter and wiggled her a bit and got her to wake up and she took a deep breath. I felt the biggest rush of relief in my life. I don't know what I would have done without this monitor so thank you because that might have just saved her life! It is so greatly appreciated.
