My son had complex febrile seizures which stemmed from a virus my husband had brought home from work, his first seizure happened during his first nap which was a nightmare. He then had two more seizures after that, as we left the hospital I asked a nurse about Owlet and if she thought it was worth the money and she said absolutely. I ordered as soon as we got home and I have loved it ever since, it is so worth the money, peace at mind and my babes well being. My little one is 1 year old and still fits sock size 3 so he will be getting some use out of it.

I can't even begin to explain the peace of mind I have when my baby is wearing his smart sock. I love the fact that there's an app connected to it on my phone and my husband and I can check his readings anytime. I watched the instructional video and I've never had a false alarm. It's easy to put on him and it stays on all night. Easy to charge. Love love love it. Highly recommend

I was hesitant at first since it was a warm weird thing that was to be on my baby's foot all night. Could this think cause any harm like maybe heat up an burn the baby but I was just being a paranoid mommy. Then I thought this thing alarms me when my baby could be in distress so I tried it... the first night it alarmed me since the unit was too close. I freaked out they the second night it went off again because of connection errors rrrrrrr then I read the directions again and finally have not had any problems since. My son is 7 months old and I use it every night. I recommend this product it's been a life saver, literally:)
Pros: Able to monitor sleep pattern, Mom and daddy get a good night sleep, Price of mind
Cons: Interference when I put a footed pajama over the, Wish it came with more booties

We use them every night for our twin girls. I can't imagine a night without them. They are very simple to use and the instructional video walks you through the functions. I love the different tones for the times when the monitor gets kicked off a foot. It sure saves a lot of panic because there are no false alarms. I know if I hear the nursery rhyme going off there is simply a bad connection. With other monitors we tried with my first child there were always false alarms and panic in the middle of the night when it went off. I would definitely buy them again. They are worth every penny. As I stated above my only dislike is that there is no back up battery, so if your power goes out they don't work.
Pros: No false alarms thanks to the different tones, Simple to use
Cons: No back up battery for the base station

App doesn't work

App says our sock is not connected to the bay station so we can't monitor vitals even though the sock is connected. It's been over 3 weeks since this has occurred. We contacted customer service who told us there was an issue with the app and engineers were working on it. It's quite frustrating paying good money for this product and not being able to use all the features.

Wonderful Peace of Mind

I gave birth to my first child in March 2016 and have had normal first time parent worries throughout the night and nap times. I had looked into the Owlet before my son was born, but determined that the price tag was more then I could justify. About one month after my son was born, I was still worrying constantly about him when he was sleeping and my husband decided it was worth the money if I got a little more peace of mind. I was also reassured by the 30 day guarantee that I could return the Owlet if it didn't work for us. I do not have internet at my house (we live very rural), so I had to take the Owlet to a friends house who does have internet to complete the initial set up. After the initial set up, the base station and the sock work together perfectly at my house even without internet. I do enjoy taking advantage of the app and its features when traveling when I have internet, but it is nice to know that the base station and the sock will still monitor and function perfectly after initial set up even without internet. We've had NO false red alerts, our only yellow alerts where when we didn't have the sock on properly and blue alerts rarely happen as we only have the sock on baby in the same room as the base station. Bottom line is that the price was worth the peace of mind it offered me at night and during nap times. I wish that there were other price point options for individuals without the funds to purchase this product as I find the peace of mind wonderful and wish all moms could experience it.

For the first week of my baby girl's life, I barely slept a wink. I would be up checking to make sure she was breathing. Got fed up and googled for a product that would help me. This was one of the three items I researched further and it has saved my sanity. I really think everyone should get one of these for their newborn and then pass it down.
