This is one of the best things I have purchased for our daughter. It is very convenient to use and gives us peace of mind when our LO is sleeping. Highly recommended this product. The only down fall is no Android app yet, but I still use with my Ipad.

First off, do you know how much it used to cost to get an in-home pulse oximeter before Owlet was around? My adorable little nephew was born a couple of years ago and was in the NICU for a while, when he came home my brother and his wife had to RENT a pulse oximetry machine for $700 for just one month of use. And it was so much more of a hassle than the Owlet is, definitely not wireless and had false alarms all the time, scaring them to death. But they put up with it, because that's what you do for your little one! The Owlet is incredible and I love mine. Some people act like it is expensive, but let's be honest here, this company has made some incredible technology super affordable and none of the other baby monitoring devices out there hold anything in comparison with the Owlet. If you put the sock on right and adjust it using the straps, you get accurate and reliable readings, which brings huge peace of mind :)
Pros: Accurate, Cost effective, User friendly

Although the Owlet did not workout for my daughter and her baby, the Owlet team worked with her to resolve the technical difficulties. Once they understood, she couldn't dedicate anymore time trying to make it work for her, they made the return process very easy.

I really really want to love it

I really wanted to love this product. I got it as a gift at my baby shower and I set it up the day my baby way born. However, we get yellow alerts about 3/5 nights a week, mulitiple times a night. It unessecarely wakes the baby all because the socked shifted alittle while the baby slept. The sizing is weird, "don't put it too tight", but if you don't it falls right off with one kick. The app doesn't always sync with the base, it won't recognize when I turn on and off the base with my phone. The phone also has second delayed alarm, that helps wake up the baby. I'm still using it, because the pros outweigh the cons. But this product is extremely over priced for its use. I love that I can sleep knowing she's safe, but this product needs improvements.
Pros: Has an app to check vitals, Multiple sizes, Peace of mind at night
Cons: App and base aren't always in sync, Sock come off and sounds alarm at night, The Velcro catches fuzz over time

When our girl was born and had to stay in The NICU due to pneumonia. Coming home with this made the transition so much smoother from the NICU to home. The peace of mind knowing my baby is breathing well and at good rates helped me sleep easy. We have only had two false alarm and it was simply due to user error and having the wrong sock size. Also more recently our baby got RSV. (Yes, another breathing virus!!) and going to bed when you baby is coughing and has so much mucus clogging her nose is so hard. But the owlet made sleeping easier knowing that if she wasn't getting enough oxygen. I would be notified. This device really empowers me as mom and allows me to be my best. This was by far the best purchase we made for our daughter and I will do it again easily for the next baby.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Not bulky, Peace of mind, Portable, Rarely any false alarms
Cons: App can have problems sometimes, It would be nice if it had a case to carry it in, Multiple logins for multiple babies, Short range between rooms, Wifi set up can be tricky when traveling

The Owlet is by far the best investment I have made for my newborn. I am an anxious new mom, that's no secret, and the peace of mind this little device has brought into our home is worth every cent. We have used the sock as indicated, only at night, and have not had any problems to date! That glowing green light is the most reassuring sight. A must-have for parents!
Pros: High quality, Portable, Reassuring
Cons: May not be in everyone's price range
