We couldn't get the product to work. We contacted customer service several times and we were not able to get assistance that was useful
Pros: Was able to get speedy refund
Cons: Never worked & couldn't get help

Our baby was born at 27 weeks and was in the NICU for 75 days. Although the NICU staff tried to warn us, we got used to having the pulse oximetry and heart rate alarms to monitor the baby. We knew ourselves well enough to know we would need them when we got home if we ever wanted to sleep. We tested the Owlet while in the NICU and its readings matched the hospital equipment so we were able to relax a lot. I know the Owlet is not sold or approved as a medical device, but it helped us even identify a medical issue very early on when her heart rate increased greatly but not high enough to set off the alarm. The downside is that the proximity or blue alarm randomly goes off even if the baby is in her crib, sound asleep and not moving and in a direct line to the owlet base. For new parents, sleep is interrupted enough without having false alarms. The other downside is not being able to set the alarms for your own heart rate and pulse oximetry readings. For brand new babies, the alarm rates are a lot more......generous than I would prefer. At the very least, a few options on the settings would be nice.
Pros: Accurate, Easy to use
Cons: Blue alarm random goes off even if baby still

Peace of Mind

My daughter was born with a heart defect called Pulmonary Stenosis. Pulmonary Stenosis greatly diminishes the hearts ability to circulate blood to the lungs, causing O2 levels to decrease. Due to some incredibly vigilant nurses, this was caught and doctors were able to fix the defect, but warned that there is always a risk of regression. Our Owlet monitor is our vigilant, watchful eye while our little one sleeps. Almost losing her once is enough for us, Owlet gives us peace of mind moving forward.

I absolutely love this product but I can't get wifi where I live and unfortunately you can't see the heart rate and o2 stats without the wifi :( would love to see that revised!

Owlet woke me up from a dead sleep when my daughters o2 dropped I run there’s my daughter turning blue from chocking on her throw up. I could imagine waking up and not having my daughter this is the best product I’ve ever bought!

Saved my babies life

For those on the fence about the owlet.....I have been using it for two weeks. NEVER gotten a red notification. A yellow one sometimes (because he’s a preemie and only 4 pounds 9 ounces) because the sock didn’t fit....a sock over it helped that. Well tonight my grandmother was over...I was sitting in a chair 5 feet away pumping....my grandmother was holding my son on the sofa. The red alarm sounded. I immediately jumped up and grabbed him. She had fallen asleep with him face down on her chest....so his air way was obstructed. Did I think I needed to monitor my grandmother? No. Am I happy I had the owlet...100000%. If you are able to get the owlet DO IT.
