When we adopted our son he was two months premature. After being in the hospital with him for four weeks we were nervous to come home and not have his monitors on him. We found the owlet online and immediately purchased it. By far the best purchase we have ever made. We can sleep at night knowing the owlet is watching him when our eyes are closed. No amount of money can buy that kind of piece of mind. We have had his alarm go off and thanks to the owlet we were able to rush to his side and make sure that he continued breathing and that he was safe. Thanks to owlet our son is a healthy 10 month old and we are ALL sleeping soundly through the night:)

Awful with Android, some peace of mind.

Being a nurse and my husband a firefighter/EMT, we wanted something that could monitor our newborn because in the event that something happened, we're trained to intervene. The newborn "sock" isn't the greatest design, as it would come off even though we had it on tight. Range isn't the greatest, we only have a 1400 sq ft one level house and can't go from one end to the other without losing connectivity to the base. He now is in his room (directly across the hall) and we had to move the base in his room because it kept losing connection in our room multiple times the first night, which then wakes baby. The second sock is a better design, stays on better, but a little tricky to get on a baby that won't hold still. I can't speak for iPhones, but the app on an Android is a nightmare (this is common from what I have now read). It's lagged behind on the alerts compared to the base station, it would lose connection to the base, then about 1 week ago it just completely doesn't work. It's says it's connected and baby's readings are normal, but it gives me no readings. There was an update November 15, but that helped none. Great concept and still gives me peace of mind at night since the system still works without the app on the phone functioning, but it definitely needs some additional research and changes.
Pros: Peace of mind.
Cons: App TERRIBLE with Android., Range isnt good either.

We use owlet every night , it is extremely reliable. Gives us peace of mind and good night sleep! I highly recommended to anyone with a baby! By far the most important gear you can get for your baby. There is nothing comparable to owlet on the market as far as technology so don't waist your money on any other devises.

As a critical care nurse, I see everyday how things can change in an instant. I now can rest easy knowing that my child is being monitored continuously while he sleeps. I cannot begin to express how at ease the owlet allows me and my wife to be at night while sleeping.

Love this product and the peace of mind it gives but just a couple things that would make it better. I wish you could see the reading on the base and not on just the smart phone. 1 because when we go on vacation or go camping we don't have compatibile Wi-Fi. 2 because if something did happen we wouldn't know what it was low oxygen or low heart? It's a great product but I believe these are major flaws that need fixed. Basically, needs to be just as effective without Wi-Fi.

I wanted to post something about my experience with our Owlet baby monitor. We purchased ours back in February of last year shortly after watching a video about how it worked and what it did. When my daughter was born she was a bit premature being born at 36-1/2 weeks. Making sure she was safe was our biggest concern. Our Owlet allows my wife and I to get some much needed rest when the little one is asleep. Knowing that a third pair of eyes was watching over her was a huge weight off of our shoulders. When we could sleep we rested a little bit easier knowing that our Owlet was helping us keep our baby girl safe. I can't begin to thank you guys enough for this product.
Pros: Customer service rocks!, Peace of mind
Cons: It doesn't make dinner
