Hands down the best investment we ever made!

I could sit here and type away pages and pages detailing how much I love Owlet but I will save you the time and skip right to the chase...YOU NEED TO INVEST IN AN OWLET MONITOR! I know, they are pricey, but there is honestly no better investment you can make with your child's health. We have two children under two years old and looked into purchasing an Owlet when our son was born a monthly early with some respiratory abnormalities. To make a long story short, it has saved his life multiple times. My only regret is that I wish I had purchased this sooner so I could have used it with my daughter when she was an infant. It gives you such peace of mind when your baby is resting that they are ok, so you can rest too. In the 5 months my son has been alive we have had 6 red alerts trigger for low oxygen levels, because he had his Owlet on, each time we were able to reposition him and help revive his oxygen. Some of these occurrences happened in the middle of the night when we were asleep and would have never know there was a problem, another happened while he was asleep in his swing one afternoon, had Owlet not triggered the low oxygen we would have just thought he was resting peacefully. The monitor and app are easy to set up and use, the monitor charges quick and usually holds a battery life of about 12 hours. The alarm is loud enough that it can wake you from a deep sleep (my husband is a deep sleeper and it wakes him) so you can rest assured that if something goes wrong with your baby you will not sleep through the alert. The only thing I would change about Owlet is when a red alert triggers for low oxygen, your instinct is to rush to baby, not look at the app on your phone, so I wish there was a way that the app would record how low the oxygen level went so that we could tell our son's pediatrician. By the time we get our son back breathing normal, and open the app, it always shows the restored oxygen level. But hopefully in time they will upgrade the app to allow this
Pros: Comfortable for baby, Easy to use, Reliable, Safe
Cons: A little pricey but so worth it!

Still on the Fence

Love the company and the idea of this product--we are still on the fence as to what to do with it. We put it on night one that we were home and unfortunately it didn't help our cause. There was a lapse in our wifi middle of the night which sent us flying out of bed for the alarm, our newborn is squirmy and then when we had to change her another alarm because we moved too far from the base--none of these fault on part of the owlet. We just need to troubleshoot and see if this device is compatible with our home and family needs. Would still recommend for anyone who has the right home set up and peaceful sleeping newborn :)
Pros: Love the company, and the service is exceptional
Cons: Night one was a bust with false alarms

I finally slept

For a new, scared, anxious parent like myself this is best investment, I haven't slept for days just watching over my new born. Don't get me wrong I tested owlet see how far can the Device reach, how loud it is, does it send notification as soon as I take off the sock. let's just say I finally slept. This device provides security and much more to all the parents out there. You can not put a price on this product!

Although I am a nurse, I had terrible anxiety after bringing my baby home. I spent 6 weeks constantly checking my son and barely sleeping. The owlet was recommended to my by a friend who is also and MD. I still check my son frequently but the owlet is a tool that allows me to rest without constant anxiety!
