We love our owlet. We did have our first false alarm 4 weeks in and it read a high heart rate. Overall it's a great fairly accurate device. I have no doubt it would save our son's life in notifying us if something happened.
Pros: Easy to put on, Easy To Setup, Good battery life
Cons: One false alarm in one month of use

We got it when my baby was 3 weeks old. She is a year old and she still wears it at night. I will use it until the sock will get small which I think we have at 8 months ahead of us. I love it, worth the money! Thank you for making it! I got one for my friend as a gift.

Great for premature babies

As a first time parent, I am truly grateful for the peace of mind the Owlet monitor brings. Our daughter was born two weeks early, and despite our previous preperation, I still felt scared when we brought her home from the hospital. In retrospect, I realize the reason I was scared wasn't because we didn't know how to take care of a baby or because we didn't have the needed supplies (diapers, formula, crib, etc.), rather it was because there are certain things you just can't prepare for and prevent on your own. Many people say the Owlet is a lifesaver, but what it truly is is a life alerter. The Owlet does what we cannot do easily--monitor our baby's vitals while she sleeps and alerts us of any abnormalities. Once we are alerted, then we can be the lifesavers by helping her out ourselves because we have prepared ourselves to do so, and that is why we can sleep with peace of mind.

Having a preemie and bringing him home was a very scary day for me. My father-in-law luckily thought ahead for me and send me the Owlet monitor. It came in a beautiful box with the easiest of instructions, and a pinch of humor. Once I began using it, I realized what a life-saver this could be. It has detected low heart rate for my baby and we are now working with doctors to find out what the cause of it could be. While this product is not intended to be a medical device, it is fantastic to have right along side of me and watching all night so I could sleep. Besides diapers, this would be the most important gift to give any new parent. Love this monitor and tell people I know about it!

The single most important baby item you can buy

We used it to make sure our daughter who was born with a breathing issue was getting enough oxygen while she slept and to monitor for a heart problem that she was at risk for. Also so we could sleep without worrying that something would happen without us knowing right away.
Pros: Accurate heart and oxygen information
Cons: sock Velcro tends to need replacing

I use this product on my daughter. It's been great to have something that monitors her while she sleeps so that I can rest easy knowing I will be alerted of any problems. I had to turn off the blue notifications because our wifi drops off throughout the night and the alerts would wake me and my husband up in a panic. Once I found out that the sock was still monitoring her through the blue tooth connection I felt okay turning those notifications off.

Peace of Mind is Worth EVERY penny

I have LOVED being able to roll over at night and see my son's vitals live! It has been a huge peace of mind for me! It took me a bit to figure out proper sock placement and where to have the base station when I first purchased the Owlet, as a result I got a few yellow alerts which were annoying. BUT once I figured those things out, the alerts weren't an issue anymore. I would strongly recommend getting help if this is an issue you encounter before choosing to send the Owlet back. It is worth every penny! I am not a mom who worries often, but when it comes to knowing whether or not my child is breathing.... well that is something that concerned me when he was first born.I know everyone likes to think that it won't be their baby that stops breathing but it happens. It happened to my baby sister and we nearly lost her. So I have learned that it is better to be as safe as possible. Oh... My husband and I like to look at the app and check my sons vitals while we are out on dates :) it's super cool!
