We have both a traditional baby video monitor and Owlet. The difference we found is that with Owlet you can sleep and be assured that if your baby's breathing or pulse reaches a dangerous level you'll be alerted. Whereas traditional baby monitors don't offer this.
Pros: Feel more safe with Owlet, User friendly

Increases hours of restful sleep

I have twin girls, one who is on a heart rate monitor in one who has severe reflux. The Owlet allows me to sleep soundly because I know if there's a true problem it will let me know. As a first-time mom and helps me differentiate between normal mewborn sounds, and ones that need to be addressed. My sleep has been more restful since I started using the Owlet.

This thing is amazing if your an overly cautious mom like myself! I would constantly wake up and think my baby wasn't breathing so I would wake her up to make sure. After doing this 20 times a night I knew I had to get the owlet monitor. Since the day I received it Ive been sleeping better and she's even sleeping better because I'm not waking her up all night! Thank you for making this product, I recommend it to everyone!

My son was in the NICU for 8 weeks since he was born early. We came home on a heart rate monitor, but once he no longer qualified for that, we purchased the Owlet. We feel very comfortable with the monitor. It's easy to use, works well and gives us peace of mind.

Extra peace of mind

We use this product any time our little one is sleeping while we are sleeping. The first day or so we had issues getting readings on the app but since has worked perfectly. We practice safe sleep recommendations but this is just a little added peace of mind for us.

With the blue notification and the yellow notification on the low sensitivity it allows us to sleep through the night and resets itself before it alarms.
Pros: Worry free sleep
Cons: Not an option to turn the sock off
