Great product, provides such a peace of mind

We use the Owlet anytime our daughter is sleeping and not within eyesight. This allows us to do other things at home and not feel as though we need to constantly check on her. We use it in coordination with our baby monitor camera to provide a peace of mind. Overall the Owlet is great and we were very fortunate to have it recommended to us prior to the birth of our daughter. Things to improve: Wireless range between the base and sensor is very short. For users that have children sleeping in seperate rooms this could be a big problem. They may have to solely rely on the application to provide any warning/feedback. Despite some troubleshooting, we get disconnection errors intermittently because of the location of our basestation. There is no way to turn off the sensor without plugging it into the base station. It would be great to have a button on the application to remotely turn off the sensor similar to the button that enables/disables monitoring. Refine the iOS application. The little wings message always comes up every time we open the app. Sometimes it takes a second or it could freeze there. Occasionally we have to close the app and restart it to get past the message. There also appear to be abnormal delays when switching between screens in the app. Change the layout and make some of the buttons/settings more user friendly. The small button (basestation icon) that toggles monitoring isn't very intuitive. This icon is also small and hard to tell if its lit up or greyed out (especially when the user is tired).

Cons: No way to turn off the sensor besides plugging i, Wireless range between base and sensor is short, iOS application needs some refinement.

Peace of Mind...Except the False Alarms

I really want to like this product, but so far it hasn't worked very well for me. The sock will only stay in place when it is covered by pjs, not by itself or simply covered with a sock. Even then, I get false alarms when the baby moves. I've used it for about three nights in total since I bought it, and was only able to use it through one of those nights because my son was wearing pjs and strapped into a rocker. The other nights, he was in his crib, and I had to unplug it due to repeated false alarms.
Pros: A good way to monitor the baby
Cons: Relies on WiFi; sock gets displaced; false alarm
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Owlet was recommended to us by two different pediatricians and an ENT specialist at Primary Children's Hospital. Our baby has Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Laryngomalacia. We couldn't sleep at night for fear he would stop breathing. He is on oxygen at night and I can't imagine not having Owlet. We can finally sleep when he sleeps. Hallelujah!!

Cons: Baby can kick off foot- must use footie jammies

As a mom of a preemie that had a stay in the NICU homecoming was bittersweet. I was more than excited to start our journey at home but nervous of the absence of the monitors that served as a second set of eyes when mine were resting. I need rest so I can be the best mom I can be. Owlet has helped ease my mind, letting me get the rest I need and allowing me to be a better version of myself and a more patient mom.

We use the owlet for my baby, we have used it since she came home from the hospital. It absolutely gives us peace of mind at night, as we can check our phone to see her heart rate and oxygen levels and know she is ok! I can't recommend this monitor more! We LOVE it. The customer service has been amazing as well!

We use the owlet every night for our 1 year old. We've been using it almost her entire life. I am able to see her oxygen saturation and heart rate which is a comfort to me. It alerts me anytime her heart rate or sat drops below a safe limit. This is as safe and secure as I can be when it comes to monitoring for SIDS
