Able to finally sleep

This product was a lifesaver when we brought our daughter home from the NICU. She stopped breathing a total of 4 times while she was in the hospital and I was so afraid of bringing her home with her off the monitors. The first week my husband and I took shifts so that someone was awake and watching her sleep. She is our second child so we quickly realized we wouldn't be able to function like this for much longer. Once we got the Owlet we were both able to sleep knowing she was being monitored. It's super intuitive and easy to use! We could not say more good things about it!!!

Don't know how I lived without one!

We started using the owlet when my son was 3 weeks old. I was skeptical and afraid of having something on his foot at all times (read a few negative reviews about sensors leaving red marks). He is now 12 weeks old and I cannot imagine not having an owlet! It comes everywhere with us including road trips! Our car has an outlet where we can plug it in. I always worry about him in the car seat for multiple hours and used to reach back to make sure he was breathing. Now I just look at the green light on the base station (app unfortunately does not work without wifi). He was also in the ER for RSV last week and I never would have slept without the owlet. I checked his oxygen levels all night but could do it from my phone instead of touching him to make sure he was breathing. The product needs a bit of tweaking: we've never had a red alarm but have had blue or yellow alarms when the sock falls off or base station loses signal. These are more annoying than anything (they wake you up and all new parents want is more sleep). It's also a bit of a pain to register with new wifi networks when traveling. Owlet continues to work without wifi but I like to see the detailed readings. In a perfect world, owlet would communicate directly with your phone and no base station (or a longer distance on base station) so you could have a monitor on 24/7. This would be so nice for parents when away from their child or if baby is in daycare. I also think some of the alert ranges should be shortened or adjustable. For instance, when he has RSV, I wanted to be alerted if his oxygen was under 85. Overall, my recommendation is that every parent buy an owlet. The pros outweigh every con.

We love this monitor to see our little ones oxygen levels and heart rate! It has been very reliable and gives us such peace of mind! It has been very simple to use, we consider this item a must have! The only con I have is it isn't coupled with a video monitor or other device because then this would be the #1 monitor for me if I could just see him and hear him!! However it is geared towards his oxygen and heart rate and it excels at that!!!

We couldn't be happier with our owlet purchase. I admit I was skeptical at first because I work in an operating room every day and struggle with unreliable pulse oximeters that often malfunction or erroneously read low saturation #s. I was convinced that the owlet would be the same - alarming needlessly in the middle of the night and causing more panic than it helped. I am pleased to say that I couldn't have been more wrong. The owlet has brought us SUCH incredible peace of mind with our little one - we have been using it since he was 6 weeks old and moved out of our room into his nursery. It is incredibly reliable and has only had an issue once or twice when our wifi was a little bit spotty. Otherwise it has been 100% perfect, even allowing me to login while I'm at work and check on him while he's home with the babysitter. The software is well designed, alarming only on my phone if the wifi signal isn't great but designed to alarm both on my phone and in his room if his heart rate or saturation drop (so it only wakes him up in an emergency! It's inky happened to us once so we don't know whether it was a false alarm or not (he woke up quite startled) but who cares?! I'll take that chance if it meant it saved us from a real problem. My only complaint is that they don't have an app for android, so my husband isn't able to use it.
Pros: Easy to set up, Peace of mind, Reliable, Very responsive customer service
Cons: No compatibility with Android

Great product but the app is terrible

The monitor is great. It has given my wife and I a sense of peace and allowed us to get some sleep. However it is super frustrating that the app continually freezes. I know they say the monitor still works but our little one has some health concerns so we are more comfortable being able to see the details. I'd say at least 2-3 nights a week we have to troubleshoot which includes having to reconnect the sock to the base station which means waking our little one up. Wish they would address this sometime soon. Otherwise we love this product and would recommend it. Especially for first time parents where every noise or no noise can freak you out.

We got this for my daughter when she was about 2 months old. We should've got it earlier. We practice safe sleep but this just gives us a piece of mind. It's nice that it can link to multiple wifi. She stayed at grandma and grandpa's one night and it was so nice being able to check on her the first time we were away. It's also great that they have teamed up with a company that you can make interest free payments.
Cons: Not really a "con" add temp reading
