Peace of Mind is Priceless

My son's owlet gives me extraordinary peace of mind when it's working correctly. Unfortunately, he wakes often (as he's only five weeks old), so the sock comes off frequently during middle of the night diaper changes and feedings. Hopefully this will be less of a problem once he starts sleeping longer periods. I do think the accuracy is off just a bit -- it seems to read lower if the sock isn't in just the right position, which presents a problem with a wiggly infant. Also, I wish the thresholds for red alerts were adjustable or at least not nearly as low as they are (if my son's heart rate has dropped below 100, period, I want to know, as well as oxygen below 94. I think the set thresholds are so low because the makers of Owlet recognize the issues with accuracy, so they leave plenty of room for reading errors. I'm okay with this because basically, if my son stops breathing, it's going to alert. Another thing I wish the Owlet did differently was record data, at least over a 25 hour period.
Pros: Constant monitoring, Long Battery Life
Cons: Extremely sensitive to movement, Sock can slide off easily

We use the owlet every night and we have been sleeping much better. We have not had any issues with false alarms or the sick falling off. The only issues we have had are the sock being out of range with the base when we take our daughter into the living room to feed her, so then the music starts playing and the fact that it doesn't read her levels if she is rocking. She sleeps in a rock n play and we usually have it rocking, so this is a bit disappointing. Overall we are very happy with the purchase and it has put our mind at ease a little more. It will be great once we transition her into her own room. We will sleep well knowing the owlet will alert us if anything should happen.

I use the product every single night on my child. We put it on him when we put his pajamas on. We love it and when he was younger we checked his oxygen levels and heart rate all the time. Now that he is older we are less neurotic, I guess, so we just check his levels right before we go to bed. When he was younger he had RSV and we were in the hospital for a week. When we came home we pretty much had the Owlet on him all the time like an at home monitoring system. It was so nice and comforting. It actually went off one night and we went in and he was breathing just slower. So it really brought us, as new parents, a lot of comfort. And it still does!
Pros: It helps me to know my child is ok., It keeps me sane as a parent.
Cons: When he kicks it off (even with footed PJ's).

The app rarely opens for me. The bootie and the base station seems to work well. We have had no false alarms only beeping/singing from the bootie disconnecting from the wifi or falling off

Last night was our first night with owlet. Since my son was born, I have never slept through the night, constantly worrying and waking up to check on him. Well with owlet, I have a peace of mind knowing I'll be woken up if something is wrong. Last night was the best nights sleep I've gotten since my son was born 8months ago. Buy this! You won't be sorry.... It has saved my life.I wish I would've bought this sooner!

The owlet doesn't stay on my babies foot no matter how many ways we try to keep it on. We tried putting socks over it that still didn't work which caused the alarm to go off over and over again plus even worse give my baby a huge water blister on the top of her foot from the monitor. I thought it was worth it for a peice of mind but it doesn't do the job the way I expected. Not worth the frustration or money.

I bought owlet because I was bringing home two NICU babies, one of which was having slight breathing problems while sleeping and also failed his car seat test once (passed the 2nd time). We were sent home with a hospital grade monitor but when he graduated from that monitor I knew I personally needed something else for peace of mind so I didn't have to sit next to his crib wondering if he was okay. I love that it monitors his heart rate and oxygen levels which is exactly what we needed. I love that I can plug it into my SUV's usb outlet and use it in there if necessary. The easy of charging and moving it also comes in handy and he doesn't seem to mind having the sock on his foot either. Overall I am thankful for this product and would highly recommend it!
