I'm convinced that this saved our daughter's life!

I ordered the Owlet monitor before my second child was born because I was dreading the sleepless nights we had with our first where most of it was spent checking to make sure that my baby was still breathing. The Owlet arrived quickly and was stored away until her birth. She was born with meconium aspiration and was worked on in the delivery room & then quickly whisked away to the nursery where she remained for almost 3 days on oxygen. After one scare at the hospital we were sent home on her 4th day and immediately put the smart sock on her. Toward the middle of her second week of life she developed a small cold. The Owlet monitor kept going off telling us that she had low oxygen levels but she looked just fine. We almost packed up the monitor then & returned it! I'm so thankful that we didn't. On her 13th day we took her to the doctor to have them check her oxygen for our peace of mind before we returned the Owlet. Her oxygen level was 76! She was immediately sent to our nearest Children's Hospital and admitted. She stayed in the NICU for 2.5 weeks on oxygen before being sent home still oxygen and with a medical grade oxygen monitor. We compared the Owlet's oxygen readings to the medical grade & it was within 1 point every time. Once she came off the oxygen and we sent the monitor back I was SO GLAD that we had this monitor to keep an eye on her oxygen levels. SUCH peace of mind! She's doing great now & I always recommend the Owlet monitor to any expecting friends.

We use the Owlet Smart Sock 2 on our baby overnight or when he is sleeping for longer times. It is great, and after a long stay in the NICU, was essential for coming home to help us as parents feel more comfortable. I do wish that the parameters could be changed for the oxygen levels, but they are safe where they are set as well. Thank you for a great product!

Nothing is worse than holding your baby when she stops breathing. Even though our daughter's reflux related apnea occured when she was awake, I slept with one eye open. Not really sustainable for a mom of three. The Owlet has given us peace of mind and the one thing that eludes parents of newborns most - sleeeeeeeeep.
Pros: Compact base, Easy to pack
Cons: The sock slips off baby's ankle occasionally

As a new mother, this product has not only given me peace of mind when my baby sleeps but it allows me to monitor her when she needs it most. I've had this product for about a month and have used it every night... Mainly so that I can sleep without constantly worrying if my baby is breathing. However, last night, the owlet was a life saver for my husband and I... my baby girl was up all night with a cold and was getting choked up on her spit and was having trouble breathing. When she finally fell asleep, we made sure the owlet was secure on her foot and it allowed us to monitor her oxygen levels (as well as heart rate)... This was invaluable to us! I seriously recommend this product to any mommies-to-be, new mommies, or any mother who worries constantly about their sweet baby (isn't that all of us? :) ). I LOVE the owlet. It is completely worth the money.
Pros: Everything about this product is amazing
Cons: Not Android Compatible, The seam on the inside of sock is a bit rough

Accurate and Reassuring

This was an incredible baby gift from a very thoughtful family member, as we will soon be bringing home a preemie from the NICU. We brought the Owlet to the NICU and compared its' reading to the one at the hospital. The pulse oximetry and oxygen saturation was remarkably accurate between the two! While this will not replace human touch, sight and sound... the Owlet will give us that extra peace of mind and reassurance during the night that our baby is okay.

I use the owlet every night in,my baby who was born 8 weeks early. Great product. Didn't like the the levels set on the owlet to monitor. These should be adjustable.
