I LOVE my Owlet!

We love our owlet. Our son was in the NICU for many months. Watching his monitors all the time became habit and once we were home, we felt lost without them. I lost many hours of sleep staring at my sons chest, wondering if he was breathing or not. The Owlet changed that for us. Finally we were able to get some peaceful sleep knowing the owlet would watch our little one for us.
Pros: Accurate, Easy to use

This gives us piece of mind at night by looking at the heart rate and oxygen levels. The Velcro on the sock got worn down and the owlet started giving false readings, but now we put a normal sock on top of the owlet for a more snug fit and it hasn't given any false alarms since then.
Pros: Works well with a loud siren when it goes off.
Cons: Velcro on he sock got worn down

Not only does it give me piece of mind, I can tell when my son is in deep sleep by his reduced heart rate and can move him to his bassinet without waking him.

This monitor is great! I gave it five stars cause I think it's awesome and keeps me somewhat sane! There are some things I would change though. Most of all, I wish it had a bigger range. I would like to be able to have my baby in a different room and not have to move the base of the monitor. The song that plays would be nice if it vibrated first or started out soft and gradually got louder. I hate sitting down to feed in the living room then hearing the monitor sing in the bedroom because I forgot to turn it off. It wakes everyone up. I have had the red alarm go off one time and my baby was fine. Don't know what that was about. Overall this is the best monitor I've tried. Pretty simple to use and very much a sanity saver.

I love this monitor. I can sleep easily knowing that if anything happens, I will be notified in a timely fashion. Its easy to use and the sock can be easily put on the baby's foot while sleeping.
Pros: Ease of Use, Ease of getting monitor onto sleeping baby, Peace of mind
Cons: Battery life, Cannot export oxygen and hr stats to MD, Range of base

Great Concept- Poor Design

Owlet is a wonderful concept "up all night so you don't have to be". Unfortunately, you ARE up all night because of the plethora of false red alarms. Owlet is a highly marketed "tested and development by medical professionals" device, but it should be clearly stated that it is NOT a medical device. We have been Owlet users for over six months. We have probably had 10 false red alarms in those six months. We have taken our baby to the doctor, called medical professionals in the middle of the night, and begun to think something was seriously medically wrong with our child. There isn't. Anytime customer service was contacted over false alarms, their go to question was "well is the device placed properly?" Yes, always yes. We have gotten reading of low heart rate, when in fact, he's been in his bed, perfectly still, awake and healthy. Also low oxygen (less than 80%). We were told by our doctor if that were true, our baby would have been blue. He wasn't, and his pulse oximetry was reading in upper 90s at Doctor. Owlet is a great concept, but has many bugs to be fixed over the years. A lot more work to do. So for now, I say this device is not worth the money, and most definitely not worth the stress, worry, and fear that it incites.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product has been wonderful. We ordered it when our son was 2 months old and have used it every night since. My husband and I both have Android phones, but we were able to get a friend's old iPhone so that we could use the app at home with our Wi-Fi. I love that you do not need the app or Wi-Fi for the monitor to work. Just plug in the base station and put the sock on. I have been able to sleep easier knowing that I will be alerted if his breathing or heart rate go down. Thanks owlet!

Thank you guys I love the owlet on April 7 2016 the alarm when on I went to check on my baby he was blue so I pick him up n started helping him out he was not breathing call 911 now he is on the hospital still having trouble but the owlet safe my baby's life I will recommend this product to every mommy out there
