We used Snuza before we found out about Owlet. With Snuza, we had several false alarms that were the scariest thing to happen in the middle of the night. These alarms led to many Dr appointments and tests that might have been unnecessary, but I'm not one to risk the health of my child. After finding Owlet, we can monitor our baby's heart rate and oxygen level and sleep peacefully, knowing that if something becomes abnormal, we will be notified.
Pros: Best baby sleep monitor, Easy to use, High tech, Wireless

My baby was in the NICU due to a birth injury. During his stay he experienced elevated heart rates and episodes of desaturatation. I knew that before I took my baby home the only way I would have some peace of mind is if I had a sleep monitor. The Owlet has been a lifesaver. As a new mom I wake up in the middle of the night with concerns about the baby, but when I look over at the base station and see that it is green, I am able to go right back to sleep. I do sleep better at night knowing that it will alert me if something was wrong. The Owlet is a must have for any new parent.
Pros: No False Alarms

Curved my new mom anxiety!

Like every new mom I expected anxiety with my newborn. I never thought just how nervous I would be at night. I barely slept the first few weeks, even though he was sleeping well, I constantly needed to sit up and look in his sleeper to make sure he was breathing. I asked a friend who used an owlet how they liked it and upon their recommendation purchased my own. Since owning my owlet I sleep way better at night! I enjoy checking the stats and seeing how my little one is doing. When I lay him in his crib I turn on the app just to check in before I sleep. It has truly helped this new mom sleep well at night now!

We bought this for our last child and I wish it would have been available with my first two. I wasn't one who would wake up multiple times to check on my babies. In fact my first two slept in the bed with me. I think I was naive. I do check on them before I go to bed. but that's not quite enough. My youngest sleeps in our room in her own bassinet and it is still very reassuring for both me and my husband to have the owlet. This baby was IVF after two ectopic pregnancies, we were in a car accident when I was 29 weeks, I had gestational diabetes, and joint problems. She was born with the cord around her neck (twice) and had already had a bowl movement. Oh and lets not forget the epidural didn't work right and made my entire body numb. So needless to say we had had enough anxiety to bring our beautiful rainbow baby here. The owlet lets us sleep peacefully. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of the android app. I had an iphone when I first got the owlet and the app worked pretty well (accept loading time). but the android app always tells me the base is disconnected from the wifi, but it's not. I know it's still working, but I like to see her stats before I go to sleep. I also wish there was a little more to the app: saving alerts to see patterns, easy access advice, ect.
Pros: Peace of mind
Cons: android app is finicky

The best thing for any parent

This was the best thing we could have bought, especially being first time parents. We have tried other products but they're nothing compared to the Owlet. We use the mobile app constantly to watch her pulse and oxygen levels and we've never had any issues with the sock falling off. If an alert were to go off, we have been able to not hear it from our phones, but from the base station too which is about 30 feet away from our room. Any parent who I have spoken to who has a baby, I always recommend investing in this product.
Pros: App available for mobile use, Easily recognizable alerts, Various sock sizes
Cons: App takes time to open, Short Bluetooth range for sock and base

Sometimes there are false alerts which are annoying. The sock sometimes leaves marks on baby's leg is its little tight.
Pros: Alarms are sufficiently loud for alerts, Always alerted whenever baby heart rate is low, Better than the hospital monitor we had, Completely wireless, Easy to configure, Sock materials is good

My newborn son is a very sound sleeper and barely moves while sleeping. With the owlet, my wife and I can rest easy knowing that his heart rate and breathing is being monitored.
Pros: Easy to use, Solid medical grade technology
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value

Good Buy; Needs better sock

The device gives us a more peaceful sleep, but the sock part needs a lot of improvement. The Velcro is too weak for a newborn who moves her legs a lot. Especially, the Velcro going around the foot. This gives us a lot of yellow alerts, which is good, in a way, but a better sock would allow us, parents, to get better sleep.
