We love our owlet. It gives us peace of mind that our baby is breathing and is ok. We are able to wake up in the night and track how she is breathing. Simple to start using. The only thing I would change is to be able to store and keep data collected through out the night.

Peace of mind and more sleep

I use my owlet mostly at night but it's also helpful during the day when my baby takes long naps. It's helpful to be able to get some things done around the house and not feel the need to check on baby every 5 minutes. All I need to do is check my app and see his oxygen and heart rate status. At night I feel like I am getting better sleep. Sure, I still wake up often but I don't need to jump out of bed to check on baby. The soft glowing green light sets me at ease (and again the stats on my phone help too). I can't sleep without it. I do wish my body didn't interfere with the communication between the sock and base though. I sometimes forget to reset the base when I put baby back in bed after a feeding. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I really wish there was an option to change the red alarms. I don't feel comfortable with red alarms going off when the heart rate drops below 60 or oxygen below 80. Those levels are way too low. At that point my baby is already suffering severe vital drops (The American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support programs support doing CPR if a child's heart rate is 60 or below. I want to be warned before CPR is necessary). I would like the option to change the bottom and upper levels (without of course being able to widen the current red alarm levels).

Since my baby was almost a year when my product came, I use it when he has a virus, so I know he's doing okay throughout the night. I also have let two of my coworkers (pediatric nurses) use it for their premie and cardiac babies. I've heard nothing but rave reviews and they are so much more at ease knowing they will be alerted when something isn't right. I have two other coworkers who are ordering the owlet for their babies due in the spring.

Cons: Needs a longer range signal for baby pod

Our daughter was in the NICU for a few weeks due to liquid being In her lungs. We were scared, she was our first baby and we wanted to make sure nothing would happen to her. So we were constantly checking on her every 5-10 minutes, which was stressful for us and for her I'm sure. This allowed us to monitor from a distance, accurately, and with numbers. This thing is a game changer if you're worried about your little one.
