Owlet Helps You Sleep

After having our daughter home a few nights, I was having a hard time sleeping even when she slept as I was constantly worried about SIDS. Owlet gives me the peace of mind to be able to sleep. The only two things I would change would be: 1. to make the base have a further range so you could leave it on your nightstand while your baby sleeps in her nursery, and 2. to make it work on your own wifi instead of its own wifi (the separate wifi makes it complicated to set up and incompatible with wifi baby monitors).

This is a product that gives me great peace pf mind when I put my little one to sleep. It took me a few nights to figure out how to put the sock on so it doesn't fall off but that is no longer an issue

Peace of mind is priceless

This type of technology was not available when our first 2 children were born. We used a different type of SIDS sensor that was placed under the mattress. The issue with that type of set up is you're limited to the crib. With the Owlet it offers some flexibility with sleeping scenarios since it's worn vs placed in a specific area. The App is great, you're able to check oxygen and HR remotely and control the base. We haven't had any false alarms yet and our baby is 4 weeks old today. The back of the sock is a little flimsy and looks like it is stretched a little bit. Overall the product works as advertised and has given us some peace of mind during the night. I would say it's 1 of my NB must haves for surviving the first month at home.

I use it every night with my little one. I can actually sleep knowing she is watched by big brother! Would love to have a carrying case for travel to protect this equipment.
Pros: Easy to set up, Easy to use, Monitor on app easy to understand
Cons: Difficult to put sick in a wiggly baby at times

I am very thankful for this product but would love to see more data on the user front. Would be great to have a record of known alerts (red specifically).
Pros: Doesn't bother baby, Peace of mind!, Wireless
Cons: Alert delay, No record of previous alerts, Sock can be finicky with squirmy child

Allowed us to sleep more soundly knowing our little one was safe. She made so many crazy noises during the first few weeks if we did not have the owlet and the monitor on our phone to check her oxygen and heart rate we would have had to jump out of bed so many times. The only reason I rated it 4 stars and not 5 was we had to stop using it around age 3 months bc it would go off in the night a lot do to bad connection. They said it was because she was moving but she really didn't seem to be moving all that much. I would still buy it again in a heart beat and recommend it to all my friends.
