An actual life saver!

The alarm went off on my seven month old with low oxygen in the middle of the night. He was in a deep sleep and not breathing correctly. I dont know if he would have ever woken up on his own... truly a life saver and allows us peace of mind. Worth every penny.

Helps me sleep easier

I really like the concept and features of the socks and camera. I can sleep soundly knowing their heart rates and breathing is being monitored. I also like having everything in me place so I don’t need multiple parent units. My problem is that I have twins so we have two socks and two cameras. I hate that i can’t have both video feeds up simultaneously. Luckily they share a room so i keep the background audio on and can hear both no matter whose camera is on, but what if they didn’t? How could I monitor both at the same time? I hope this is something Owlet rectifies in future versions of the app.

Works great, but the history in app doesn’t

Bought soon after bringing daughter home. The base works great and the live reading on the new app works great, but the history still does not work. It didn’t work on the old app and it still doesn’t work on the new app. I have to plug in the sock to the base and wait for a little bit before the history will pull up. I like to check her oxygen/sleep/heart rate to make sure it’s doing ok that night while she’s sleeping and see the history up until that point so I can make adjustments or be concerned about low oxygen if needed. The new app was supposed to fix the history aspect of the app, but it’s not fixed. Aside from that it works like it’s supposed to.

Crapping our after a year.

Our owlet monitor worked great for the first year and now it won’t even acknowledge we have a sock hooked up to the base station. It won’t charge and flashes blue. So frustrating as my son is sick and it would be really nice to know his oxygen level.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Thankful

My daughter had a few weeks in the NICU and came home. When she was 3 weeks old she aspirated and needed CPR. After a week in the hospital the staff wanted to send us home with no monitors. I have seven children and couldn’t stand over top of her...plus she very clearly was still having breathing issues and mild alarms at the hospital upon discharge. A dear friend bought us this monitor for our peace of mind. It was much needed. Not even a week later she had several alarms and was very pale. The third alarm we went in since I could see that her oxygen and her heartbeat was dropping lower with every alarm. So glad we went in! She stopped breathing on the way in and then several times after arriving they needed to do CPR. This monitor literally saved her life. Even the medical staff said so.
I have never felt like I needed a monitor like this for any of my other children but I will certainly be using it for our 8th baby due in December.
We did not have a lot of false alarms but there were times it would disconnect from the internet. We live in the country so our internet can be spotty at times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth every penny!

YES! I will recommend this to every expecting mom! I have a now 4 month old, owlet caught his O2 levels one night at 87% we ran in to try and wake him and he wouldn’t startle awake (like he normally does.)
He got admitted into the Vanderbilts children’s hospital last week for RSV, bronchitis and low O2 while he was asleep (84-88%) when I kept telling the doctors there we had the owlet sock they said, “good you need to be able to watch what he’s doing while he’s asleep.”
The system is expensive, but worth every single penny.. I full heartedly believe that if we didn’t have his sock on him that night and we didn’t catch him before he kept drifting into low O2 levels, that we would’ve lost our baby.

The owlet saved my 12 month old sons Life

Last night while he was sleeping my son had a febrile seizure. Our owlet went off saying low O2. Checked on him and he wasn’t breathing. Called 911 and administered CPR and he was rushed to the hospital. Luckily now he’s fine but Without the owlet I don’t know if he’d still be alive. Thank you so much best investment of my life!!!!

Saved my baby's life!

I totally don't do reviews, until now. I was skeptical about the Owlet smart sock, mostly because of the price and previous reviews I'd read. After 7 months of use we'd only gotten yellow notifications, until one night---the Owl base woke us up and my phone was alerting us that my 7 month old's O2 stats were dropping, into the 70's. I immediately checked the camera to notice his face was down and darted up to his nursery to wake him! I cannot preach the peace of mind this sock has given us as first time parents! I am forever grateful that I purchased this smart sock! Order it, today, if you're on the fence, otherwise prepare for many sleepless nights!
