I ordered this product after we took my two month old to the E.R. because she was lethargic and non-responsive. She was diagnosed with "A Life Threatening Event", or "Pre-SIDS", as the doctor called it. Bringing her back from the hospital, I was very nervous and couldn't sleep. The Owlet monitor gives me enough peace of mind that I can now rest and know my baby is safe.
Pros: Amazing support and customer service, Easy to follow set-up instructions, Grants peace of mind, Simple to use
Cons: Connection distance is limited

Received a broken base

I decided to try the owlet monitor because I wanted me and my husband to have piece of mind while we slept. I received my device pretty quickly (about a week) which was nice. Of course, once I received it, I decided to try and set it up to get myself familiar with it since I'm going to be having my baby is less than 2 weeks. Right off the bat, it refused to work. When I plugged it in, it made all its noise, but after countless attempts to connect it with our wifi, it just wouldn't work. I looked online for tutorials and other ways to connect but nothing worked. Eventually, I got in contact with someone using the app, only to find out that my brand new dock, was broken. I've had it less than a day, and I'm already getting another one sent to me. Shouldn't something that's supposed to give you piece of mind, not make you want to cry while setting it up?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing sleep with the owl on patrol! Our little gal uses the sock for sleep overnight, after dark, and during times when we are napping too. So much peace of mind with this, and the app is awesome.

I love my owlet and would recommend this to any new family. I plan to use it on my next baby as well. It adds as another safety watch measuring heart rate and oxygen. This gives me peace of mind and helps me sleep better at night not being paranoid checking on her a million times a night and can see her vitals right there on my phone. I do wish it would disconnect automatically when I pick her up from her crib or leave her room instead of sounding off the alarm.

I absolutely love this thing! I can sleep so much better! But the one thing I dislike is the app. It is constantly searching for the base station and I have to go and unplug it multiple times a day. But other than that it's great
