Never thought ide see the red light

When my husband and I went back and forth about buying this we decided to get it ONLY for my piece of mind. We would never actually need it right. Tonight the red light alarm went off. Low oxygen levels was sent to my husbands cell phone. My son was in his bassinet right next to the bed and I didn’t know. My hand was just touching him and I couldn’t tell he wasn’t breathing. The alarm sounded I jumped out of bed picked him up and he took a massive gulp of air. He wasn’t breathing for no reason. Nothing in his face. Asleep on his back no reason to not breath. Idk if he would have taken that breath any way. Or if I would have noticed on my own in time. But I can tell you that I’m holding my son who’s a week old today and he’s breathing. He’s here and there’s no what ifs about that.

Great Idea, needs perfecting.

I bought this product 5 months ago for the peace of mind the owlet sock can provide. It has also served as useful tool for putting our baby to sleep. By monitoring our babies heart rate you know when he is actually asleep and you are safe to put him down.
However, the limited operating range of the sock and the “glitchiness” of the app can be aggravating. The operating range of the sock from the base station is approximately 15-20’. This can be extremely annoying at night when you have to walk to the next room at night to feed your baby or prepare a bottle. The alarm notification will signal and the base station cannot be turned off once the alarm has begun. The other main issue is the “glitchiness” of the app. On several occasions the app has failed to open and the refresh rate on the vitals can sometimes take several minutes. This makes me questions it’s reliability. The concept of the owlet sock is outstanding but the execution still needs perfecting.

I would buy again but wish it had more sizes

We use the Owlet when we put our son down for the night or a nap when I am planning on napping as well. It provides me the peace of mind that I'll be alerted if something is wrong. The only difficulty we have had is fitting the socks. Our son has larger feet and went straight to the size 2 sock and very quickly grew out of that. He's now 2 months and in the size 3. I've resolved I'll learn how to make a bigger sock if needed to continue using the Owlet until he is 1.
Pros: Peace of mind I'll be alerted.
Cons: Difficulty when in between sock sizes.

Its okay

It allows me to monitor bub if i go out and leave her home with daddy ha. And its good if she is sick you can monitor breathing. I had a scare the other day put the sock on her gave me a peace of mind. However, as i have seen others comments i agree. I try and base the home device in the middle of the house as bub is still sleeping in our room and her room to change her is on the other side of the house so my phone is forever going off and so is the disk. Another thing so chase up while you have a baby screeming. So now i will only use it when she is sick or when she finally moves into her big girl room.

We LOVE our Owlet!

Our family has used our Owlet since the day we got home from the hospital with our baby girl, just over 7 months ago! My husband and I have had numerous conversations since our daughter was born about how thankful we are to have our Owlet. Being overly worried, first time parents, it has allowed us both to peacefully rest during the night while our little one is sleeping! It was purchased for us as a gift and has truly been the gift that has kept on giving! We LOVE our owlet and highly recommend it to any and all families!!

Annoying at times, otherwise great product

We brought the camera/sock bundle, and after few hiccups with wifi set up etc we were good to go. Product quality is really good. The camera images are good if you have good wifi. The sock though - I like it (particularly because my baby started rolling onto his belly to sleep at 3 months olds), so it is peace of mind, but if baby is fussing a lot (kicking and moving around) when your trying to get them to sleep, the thing sets off this obnoxious tone on the base station, apparently due to placement issue. You can pause temporarily in the app, but when your trying to calm a fussy baby it’s the last thing you want to deal with, especially in the middle of the night cause this thing is loud! I usually just turn off the base station until baby is settled. Once they are calm/asleep I turn it back on and all is ok - no placement adjustment needed.
Also don’t take baby too far from base station (ie. downstairs if base station is upstairs) once sock is on. It does not like that and will disconnect.
Overall it’s a good product, and would still recommend despite these little annoyance’s.

Gave us peace of mind at night

This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. Note: I received a small incentive for posting my opinion.
Being able to rely on the sock to monitor our child's breathing gave us the peace of mind to catch up on much needed sleep. Especially now that they're sleeping in a different room than us. An added benefit is that we're also able to better time *when* they fall asleep given that their heartrate lowers to a more stable level. This has helped with nap training and recording our babie's sleep patterns
