I didn't really need to upgrade, as I had the 16 Pro Max, but pricing-wise it made sense to upgrade. The best thing this year is the camera. It really does take better photos than the 16 Pro Max.

This phone is terrific in almost every way except weight. It’s significantly heavier than my previous 13 Pro. Beyond that, the battery has a long life. The camera does great and the new Clean Up editing feature is much needed. I bought the phone because I’m out of cell range often and am glad to have the emergency satellite connection.
