Hey Daniel, we appreciate you sharing your experience with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. We are sorry to hear that you are facing issue where your phone wouldn’t turn back on after the battery fully died, and you even visited Best Buy’s Geek Squad for help. That can be really frustrating, especially since your phone is still fairly new and you’ve otherwise been happy with it. It’s completely reasonable to want to avoid situations like this. Sometimes, restarting usually resolves it and we are here to share some tips to help prevent your phone from fully draining in the future so you can keep enjoying it without interruptions.
You can also try out this tips and see if it makes any changes for the device battery:
1.Check battery usage: Go to Settings > Battery to identify power-hungry apps. Disable Background App Refresh for those apps.
2.Manage location services: Turn off location access for apps that don’t need it constantly.
3.Adjust display settings: Lower screen brightness and disable Always-On Display if not needed.
4.Enable Low Power Mode: This reduces background activity and visual effects to conserve power.
6.Update to the latest iOS version: Apple may release patches to optimize battery performance.
7.Reset all settings: If issues persist, resetting settings can clear out problematic configurations without deleting your data.
8.Give it time: Your iPhone may take a few days to recalibrate battery usage after a major update
Happy with my new iPhone. I upgraded from an iPhone 13 ProMax. I wasn’t sure whether I would do it but ended up very happy I did. There are enough changes that I enjoy using my new phone because things run smoother. Very pleased with the upgrade.
