Motion/Light Detector Broken On Arrival

The TV picture looks great. The art mode function looks great when it works (although I wish there was more customizable options for matting and framing your own pictures/art). The app to upload your own art is very clunky and freezes up. The remote for the TV is weird and non-intuitive. Agree with some other posters that the mounting bracket could be easier, but it's not too bad to install.
The main reason for my 1 star review is that the motion/light detector on the TV that is supposed to activate art mode when you walk into the room, was broken on arrival. This is one of the MAIN reasons why anybody would buy this TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for choosing The Frame TV and for sharing your experience with the motion sensor. Please ensure the motion sensor (located at the bottom of the TV) is not blocked, as this can prevent the sensor from working properly.
Some additional things to consider when using Motion Sensor:
1) If the surrounding area is too dark or bright, the motion sensor may not work normally. 2) The performance of the motion sensor may be affected by the installation environment (height, tilt, obstacles). 3) If the clothes you wear or your skin color is similar to the surrounding shading, the motion sensor may not work properly. 4) The TV responds to all visual changes around it (lights, displays, dogs, out-of-window changes, and other occurrences). 5) You can adjust the response level by adjusting the sensitivity of the motion detector. Go to: Home > Art > Settings > Motion Detector

finally a beautiful tv indide and out! such gorgeous design, away from non-descript black flat screens without character. it feels like a piece of art or furniture. also stunning graphics you can customize as screen saver, also designed by the bouroullec brothers. i always love their design! the set up eas very easy and we were surprised how many options and functions this tv includes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

TV is great, apps need work

my wife really wanted a tv we could try to blend in with our 100 year old home. we also looked at the comparable lg tv but settled on the 55” frame. i love the flush wall mount and was able to install it myself with no issues, you’ll just need one additional person to help you lift the tv up and hang it on the wall. the picture quality is excellent and we connected it to a sonos surround system and love the dolby atmos quality sound from the earc channel. our only gripe with it is that the smart tv features are sluggish and sometimes the apps simply do not work or will crash (paramount plus was a big issue). we ended up getting a roku ultra for 4k streaming and that solved our issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

To optimize the Smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

I hate seeing this “nearly invisible” cord!

arrg! i love this tv so much but i cant stand seeing this “nearly invisible” cord hanging under the tv. i almost returned it but im hoping eventually to find a solution. i bought this tv more for the art look then tv. how many pieces of art have a power cord? i have been told i cant run the one connect cord through the wall because it is not fire rated. and now learn samsung does not even sell a fire rated cord yet. so disappointing! samsung please fix this! what are my options!
