Great TV, some tweaks needed!

i really like this tv, but have been trying for a week to get closed captions. i have googled the question and read the emanual. i indicated i wanted them via settings, but when i tried to watch something on hbomax, no captions!

Thank you for purchasing the 50" AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for your review. We completely understand your frustrations with closed captions, and we are here to help.
You can turn your Closed Captions on/off and change the settings such as separating it from the broadcast screen, font color, background color, size, position, language, etc. by going to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Caption Settings.
Please know, this setting is focused towards the live TV function and may not effect the captions settings within streaming applications. HBO Max features it's own closed captions settings that can be enabled or disabled while streaming a video.
If you need further assistance or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support at: 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.
For additional support resources, visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for:

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You have never watched TV, until you watch it on this screen. I do have to say, it takes alittle bit to get used to, because the clarity is INSANE! It actually looks like you are on set with the actors. The movement is different, the depth of the background is crazy! You can choose whichever scene format you like best, in accordance to watch your watching. For movies, I prefer "Normal", as with watching it in filmmaker or dynamic mode, it's "too real", I'd prefer to keep the mystery, as a movie, rather than "see" the acting.
TV speakers, could be better, but I Bluetooth to a sound bar, so it makes no difference to me.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
