This product has some great features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new tv is a great addition. The clarity is amazing. We compromised on a QLED tv for the picture quality. The nature shows have such breathtaking color and clarity. The access to other services like HBOMax, Netflix, Amazon Prime makes for a vast list of shows, movies and series.

Great picture, terrible sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use the TV for viewing and streaming. The picture is great but the sound is lousy. We do not have a sound bar and the sound from the TV speakers is hollow with no depth and is very low. I have it up to 30 just to be able to hear it under normal circumstances. Its connected to a cable box with an HDMI cable and hardwired to the internet and the sound setting is standard. Any background music or sound effects sound like you are listening through a pair of cheap speakers. I tried tweaking it with the EQ settings but it did not help. I guess they want to sell sound bars so they put cheap speakers in the TV. I would not buy again and I am disappointed in Samsung.

Thank you for purchasing the AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your feedback regarding the sound quality. There are several volume features you can enable/disable/adjust to your liking.

1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input.

2) Adaptive Volume automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source.

Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.

This is not a normal TV

it is rather difficult to learn how to use this tv, it's not like a regular tv. channels are hard to find. it has a good quilty picture and sound once you figure out how to navigate. had i know, i would have bought a regular tv and not this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To assist you in learning about the various features and functions of your new TV, you can download the AU8000 TV's User Manual, e-Manual, and Quick Setup Guide on Samsung's website by clicking "Support" > "Manuals & Software" > "TVs & Home Theater" > "TVs". From there, you can select the AU8000 TV under "Crystal UHD TVs” > “A Model Lineup" and download the guides you would like. The e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

Great picture, but...

the volume clarity is bad. older samsung tv sounds better and fuller. we have to increase volume to 70s and change to 'amplify'. in addition, when connected to bose wave system, via bluetooth, the maxed out volume is too low. i would be it recommend.

The crystal clear picture and thinness of the TV

great reviews the picture is crystal clear the tv is thin as heck. the remote is very confusing it's so small and very little buttons i need help in that. the apps are good. sound is awesome. i don't like the remote going to directv when i start the tv on netflix. i need help in that. other than that it's a great great investment.

To assist you in the functions and settings of the remote, you can download the Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “TVs”. From there, you can select the AU8000 TV under "Crystal UHD TVs” > “A Model Lineup" and download the guides you would like.

The AU8000 features the ability to launch the last app used on startup if you would like your TV to default to your favorite streaming service instead of an external device. To enable this feature, go to Settings > General > Smart Features > Auto Run Last App

Great for Gaming

got this to go along with my xbox series s and it is amazing to see the difference between this and my older samsung. from start up the picture quality is top of the line and has great sound quality also. its lightweight and easy to set up with all my subscriptions. plus i can hook it up with alexa and play games and open apps with just my voice!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Connection to my LG Soundbar

the tv is nice. i do like it. but the remote will not run my lg soundbar. which means i have to use two remotes. which means my my wife is annoyed. which means it’s my fault because i bought this tv.
i have scoured the internet to find a solution and i dont want to buy a new sound bar. so we’ll just sort it out in therapy.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung’s AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your remote control. If an HDMI ARC connection is available on the soundbar, this is the quickest and easiest way for your TV to control the soundbars volume with no setup needed on your part. For further troubleshooting, follow the steps below.

You may first want to reset your remote by pressing and holding Return and Enter (the center of the navigation pad) for more than 10 seconds. After performing this reset, you will need to pair the remote to the TV again. To pair, press the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected.

Please also check to see if your remote is charged. You can check remaining battery by going to: Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery.

Check if the remote is sending an IR signal. If it is sending an IR signal, you will see a red colored light coming from the remote control. If the remote still will not work, it may be faulty.

Please ensure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled on your TV. With Anynet+, you can control external devices that are connected to your TV with HDMI using your TV remote. To turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
