Used as a computer monitor for multiple computers

i work from home and just bought this to use this with multiple laptops connected.
1. the picture is incredible!
2. i used to have a big ugly switch system to switch which laptop i was viewing, now i just talk into the remote and it switches in 1 second. no more switch/cabling mess.
3. i loaded all my tv apps, and again, just talk into remote and watch whatever i want when im not working. samsung tv subscription is built right in and free, i get some shows i cant find elsewhere.
4. the sound is very clear, conference calls sound like the other people are sitting right there.
lastly, the footprint is minimal, its so thin you can hardly see it from the side and the stands are minimal also. it looks very sleek and clean on my desk.
i haven't found anything bad about it yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great TV, beautiful picture, one hiccup.

so far so good. replaced a 4 year old lg that had memory issues with apps i didn't even use. the picture is great, the features are easy to use and understand. it found my xfinity cable and ps4 without having to do anything but the simple setup process. very smooth. also nice to have wifi that works. my lg's never did. the legs slide and snap right in, which was the best leg experience i've ever had in a flatscreen.
the only issue i had was on day 6 (its been 13) when i turned it on the screen was going black every few seconds then back on and repeat. the home button screen with all the apps and settings was still visible even while the picture was black. power off and on didn't fix it, but pulling the power cable out the back did, and so far it hasn't happened again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tv like looking through a window!

The picture is so clear it makes me feel like I'm watching a scene play out live in my living room! The bottom menu makes it easy to scroll through by apps and find something good for the family!

beautiful picture and lots of good apps. only tv that carries the spectrum app, but wish it included the cloud with dvr on it so we could record.

Nice TV

Picture is great & has an unbelievably thin profile.
In my opinion, the only drawback is a minor lack of intuition.
Connecting the tv to my home theater was anything other than plug & play.
The audio changes dramatically between satellite & streaming platforms.
Even as an audio professional, I had to hire Hello Tech to come out & troubleshoot my system. It's improved, but still not where I want it to be. To be fair, this could have something to do w my pre-existing home theater setup, so I don't want to bag on the tv too badly. I just feel like the menu options could be more clear walking a user through audio setup.

I apologize for the inconveniences you have had with the inconsistent sound volume. The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On

There are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences.

Change the Sound Mode by going to: Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings

You may find the full user manual helpful when attempting to navigate new features or learn more about the settings withing the TV.

You can download the AU8000 TV's User Manual, e-Manual, and Quick Setup Guide on Samsung's website by clicking "Support" > "Manuals & Software" > "TVs & Home Theater" > "TVs". From there, you can select the AU8000 TV under "Crystal UHD TVs” > “A Model Lineup" and download the guides you would like. The e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

i had an older model tv and when i upgraded to this i was amazed at the colors and crispness of the screen. having it hooked up to internet was good, means no more tripping over cords, but because i have basic internet there can be a lag. i love the extra samsung channels too.
i have a samsung smart monitor too,i got at the beginning of covid, and noticed that the remote for my monitor and tv work for the other, as far as on/off and volume, so be careful.
one complaint i have is while there is the option of sleep timer on thenquick setting menu there isn’t the option of screen off on the quick setting menu. minor complaint but for me, those go hand and hand.
otherwise i love it
