Great quality and responsive TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 42” Samsung smart TV (2015 I think?), and it took a couple minutes to connect to WiFi; additionally, it was incredibly slow to respond to navigation (smart hub, switching apps). Alternatively, the 50” Samsung Crystal UHD smart TV has been incredibly fast in comparison - connecting to WiFi, sleep/wake, navigation, and user friendliness has been a breath of fresh air. The UI on the TV as well as the remote are fantastic. Plus the 4K resolution is a game changer! Great contrast, color, and brightness have made this my favorite TV. I would recommend this to friends and family.

Great TV and great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 3 TV's that were all 8000 series at 50, 65 and 75". They are all great and we love the remote and how easy it is to navigate. We're streaming our AT&T TV and all our other steaming services with high quality. Love them and can't believe what a value they were vs. a few years ago.

Great picture but sound issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our Samsung for a little over a month. Picture is quite an upgrade from my older Vizio. We keep having intermittent sound dropouts whether watching TV or streaming which is aggravating. Sometimes we have to shut it off completely to fix the problem. We also are unable to use optical for sound output (new cable) versus the HDMI cable. I need to check further on this issue. Even when we change the volume the sound drops out momentarily. The simplified remote takes quite a bit of getting used to but works will once you adjust to it. The worst aspect of the remote is the number key to change channels, it is slow and clunky to use. Overall we enjoy the picture and I think we will also enjoy the free Samsung Plus extra TV channels once we have some time with them.

The TV name says it all- crystal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV is located in family room and is used for general viewing of news, sports and movies thru various streaming services (Prime, Hulu, Netflix). The picture quality is phenomenal and the crystal nomenclature accurately describes what you get. The TV also possesses many outstanding user friendly features and is easy to setup and use. Samsung quality, as always.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off the TV was super easy to hookup. The menu system guided you through everything. The picture quality is stunning, I can easily see the difference between this TV and my old Samsung. Speakers do seem a little weak on the TV which means I will just have to get a sound bar. Besides that it seems like a great TV kind of wish I got the 65 inch instead of the 55 but I like being married :-)

Thank you for choosing the 2021 AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for your review. There are several volume features you can enable/disable/adjust to your liking.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input.
2) Adaptive Volume automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.
