Great picture, still struggles with dark scenes

any tv in this price range is going to deliver a good home viewing experience. or a pretty good experience hopefully.
this tv is a very nice picture during movie scenes with lots of light or great for sports/gaming. the picture is sharp in movie scenes with lots of light, and the colors are bright.
during dark scenes for movies, the picture does not have the depth and detail that a more expensive tv would have. but the samsung 50" 8-series delivers a great viewing experience for any dc movie, you simply won't get the full-theater experience of dark movie scenes.
it is a solid tv for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought this TV for my living room in my new house and I love it. My mom bought an older Samsung a few years back and these TVs are really great. I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re in the market for a new TV, definitely a Samsung.
