Stunning Picture

bought this television as a replacement for a vizio. the picture difference is truly stunning. vibrant colors, smooth movement, and the color palette is unparalleled. i'll add surround sound later, which should give a great movie experience.
works very well for video games too, with a fast refresh rate that eliminates lagging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great, I use it for games on consoles, watch movies and even use it as a monitor as if I had a computer with DEX, the TV monitor and the mouse cell phone. The graphics surprise me, the sound is EXCELLENT, its quality exceeds my expectations.
You can do many things by SYNCHRONIZING the Samsung cell phone with the TV or a PC, it really has many and very good functions, you just have to learn how to use them.

Nice for a large bedroom

i had a 36" tv in our large (14x19') bedroom, and it wasn't quite big enough to see from my chair on the opposite side of the room. we replaced it with this 43" tv, and now i can read the guide & list on directv, and the offerings on streaming channels.
the 43" tv could use the same mounting bracket we had already installed, which was also nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture, but a kitchen nightmare

i really love this tv but after i got it all set up with all of the streaming channels that i subscribe to, i discovered that when i turn it on it always defaults to something i didn’t subscribe to you - it’s always blaring gordon ramsey’s “kitchen nightmares” or some trashy stuff that i would never watch. i think it’s the “samsung tv” channel but im not sure where it’s coming from. why can’t it just be a silent screen when it comes on? i would love to get rid of that. basically, it creates an unpleasant experience every time i turn on the tv. imagine every time you turn on your computer that it started playing a video that you weren’t interested in seeing, or that you actively disliked. that’s the experience i’m having.

Samsung TV Plus is a free TV service giving you access to hundreds of channels with a variety of content from news, entertainment, and more. If you would not like to utilize the TV Plus service, and remove the channels from your TV please try the following:

1) Navigate to the Samsung TV Plus app and press the down button on the remote. This will bring up two options. ‘Move’ and ‘Remove’.
2) Navigate to ‘Remove’ and select. This option brings up the ability to remove the app icon or disable the service.
3) Navigate to ‘Disable’ and select. This will remove the service from the launcher bar and the channels from the TV Guide.

By default, your TV will startup to the last input used. You can also enable the "Auto Run Last App" setting through the TVs menu to automatically launch the last streaming application used if you do not have any external devices connected to the TV.
