Not user friendly

We are sending ours back. Sound cuts off during shows and movies. When turned on it just goes to a blank screen and I don't know if it is on or not. Remote buttons have too many multi task (not user friendly), no numbers on it. Sound has to be adjusted too much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for letting us know about the issues you are experiencing with the AU8000 TV. Please know we are here to help and have a few troubleshooting stops for you to try.

First, regarding the issue of inconsistent volume:

The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On.

You may also want to perform a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test.

Next, so your TV does not have a blank screen when you first turn it on, I recommend turning on the Autorun Last App feature. The feature automatically starts the last app you used once the TV is turned on. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub
2) Enable the Autorun Smart Hub feature
3) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Last App
4) Enable the Autorun Last App feature

Finally, please ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Beautiful visual- challenging audio.

great sleek tv in terms of look, design, and overall aesthetic. the sound is where this product lacks. i highly recommend a sound bar to elevate the experience otherwise the built in manufacture sound takes away from your viewing enjoyment because it fails to meet the visual level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this Tv 1 week ago. great TV. Talked with tech support the other night and unable to find a samsung keyboard to work with this TV. Would like to use a backlit keyboard when I go on youtube or the internet to type quicker and get around with a mice. Wish someone would let me know what smart tv keyboards work with this TV !

Sound issues.

Beautiful picture quality but the sound is awful. I don’t feel I should have to purchase a sound bar for better sound.

Good picture but....

I hoped I would love this TV. While the picture is great, the remote is strange and a couple of times, it has shut down out of the blue. Also a couple of times the remote seems to have become unpaired from the TV and has required a hard reset that I was only able to learn about by calling the toll free support line (the support line was helpful but shouldn't have had to resort to a call).

There are four conditions that may cause a remote control pad to malfunction:

• Bad batteries.

• An electronic glitch in the remote control pad.

• A defective remote control pad.

• A defective remote control sensor on the TV.

Interface is poor

we thought this tv would be an upgrade from the tcl roku tv. not sure at this moment.
1. the interface and app logo are way to small for anyone under 40 to read. the interface seems slow at times and sometimes reverts back to home when it cannot load the app.
2. it loses our wifi nearby daily. the tv is not in the same room as our modem but still you would think that 200 mb internet would work.
3. the remote is not very fun to use, especially the volume. it has only three preloaded app on it for easy access and isnt very responsive at times.
i thought the 8000 series was going to blow me away but if actually makes me hope the next version has to be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your home internet can have interference or a weaker signal depending on how far away your router is from your device. Also depending on how many walls the signal needs to go through this can also hinder your overall Wi-Fi signal.
