[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture is great, sound not so much. Volumn is uneven from channel to channel. Some network programs have dialog that's difficult to understand even with the sound settings at optimal. This is all through Spectrum cable so it might be their issue. Hard for the consumer to know.
Still overall a good value.

Great overall TV

We have someone that wears hearing aids and we are able to hook them directly to the TV so they can hear the TV anywhere in the house.
Looks great hanging on the wall above the fireplace.

this has a beautiful picture, but be prepared to purchase an external sound bar or connet to a sound system, because the sound quality struggles to reach that of an old mono radio. it has no bass, only trebble.
the remote and media interface is pretty ituitive if you are used to an apple tv or roku. if someone wants a simple channel up/down, they are out of luck. there are a few quirks with the media interface, such as the inability to search for somethig with two or more words, because there is no space character. several apps dont allow you to enter a city with two words.
samsung offers a few free months of samsung plus, which is a cable tv lineup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Okay TV for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not happy about this TV at all, I have some apps that for the life of me I cannot get added to the main page and have to do a search for every time I want to watch. The sound isn't great and I have purchased a sound bar to fix that. I also don't care for the fact that it will just start playing random stuff. Maybe if someone reached out to me and provide some sort of tutorship on how to navigate and fix the issues, I'd be okay but I am not having much luck.

Thank you for your feedback and for letting us know about the issues you are experiencing with the AU8000 TV. Please know we are here to help you and have some troubleshooting steps that may help!

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

To add apps to the Home Menu:

Go to Home> Apps> Select App of choice> Long hold return key> Add to Home Menu.

To move the app to a different position on your Home Screen Menu> Go to App of choice> Long hold return key> Move> Use left or right arrows to move.

When your television first turns on, it may play Samsung TV Plus. Instead, you can have it run the App you last used.

To do so, utilize the Autorun Last App feature to automatically start the last app you used once the TV is turned on. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub
2) Enable the Autorun Smart Hub feature
3) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Last App
4) Enable the Autorun Last App feature

Finally, regarding sound quality, please know there are several settings that you can adjust that can improve your experience.

You can change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.

You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.

This is my first smart tv. I’m very satisfied with it. Being able to mirror my iPad or iPhone is quite a nice feature! I was able to watch a YouTube video on this tv by using this feature. The Samsung TV Plus is another unexpected feature that I am making use of with their many free channels. This tv picked up over 60 channels off the outside antenna. The only bummer is the remote that is supposed to have a microphone to access Alexa which it does not have.
