Samsung is the best tv made. I love it

Excellent Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this television a few months ago to replace an aging older model. It gets used about 20 hrs a day from the morning news to streaming our favorite movies into the late evening and sometimes - all night long.
The crystal display produces a sharp, crisp picture with vivid colors and superior black shades. It's a great addition to any decor and is reasonably priced. We simply love it.

Clear Picture with Perfect Color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are not connoisseurs of today's complex TV technology. We pretty much have our favorite shows as presented by our cable provider and are not involved in streaming from other sources. Ours is a simple TV viewing profile. Yet we very much appreciate the quality of our Samsung Smart TV. It's predictably excellent and requires very little adjustment (once original adjustments are made to one's taste). I would opt for a slightly larger screen but 50" fits a particular space between two windows. When I was searching for a new TV, I came upon this Samsung Crystal UHD immediately. But, then continued to investigate and review many other brands and their features. Strangely, or by a stroke of luck, I came back to the Samsung Crystal UHD and immediately realized it was superior in its price range. I have been very pleased with that decision and highly recommend the Samsung Crystal UHD TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV as I use it to watch TV in my room. Shows like Game of Thrones that have darkened episodes come out clear and are easily seen. The amount of details and clarity seen while watching streaming service is amazing. I definitely recommend this TV.

Amazing picture quality for the price

Work great with Wi-Fi smart tv features and connects easily with satellite tv box. Remote takes a bit of time to get used to but works great. Planning to use Bluetooth headphones capable in the future. I could not believe how light this tv is. Easy to lift up on dresser. Very impressed with the quality. I bought Samsung based on previous experiences with Samsung tvs and computers.

Flickering & pixels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watch a great deal & now, after 3 years, the picture is flickering, has pixel problems & colored lines / fading which lasts from 30 minutes to 1/2 a day after turning it on.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying correctly. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Run a Picture Test on the TV.

Navigate to Settings, select Device Care, and then select Self Diagnosis. Select Picture Test, select OK and then view the test. You can select Yes if the picture looks normal, No if there is a problem with the image, or Show again to see the picture a second time.

2. Determine if image issues are appearing during the Picture Test.

Look for distortion or issues on the screen during the Picture Test. If there are no issues, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the problem, try replacing the external device's cable that is showing image issues.

- If issues still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device.
- If issues appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step.

3. Request service if issues appear during the Picture Test.

Please visit our Support Center to request service if you see image issues during the Picture Test. When calling, ensure you have the TV's model code, software version, and serial number.

Sometimes, distortion or image issues (especially if they are black) can be caused by a cracked screen. If this is the case, it would still need service if you want to fix it. However, since the warranty does not cover physical damage, buying a new TV may be more economical rather than paying for repairs and a new screen.
