Something Went Wrong
on January 18, 2022

i am a loyal samsung product user, and not matter how many comparable tv i looked at, none had all the features i seem to always find in samsung. however, this time i think i got a dud. perhaps the delivery person knocked the box around too much or something, but i been experiencing occasional fuzzy feedback from the speakers of this tv. i though at first my samsung sound bar had gone wonky, but i noticed the fuzzy feedback once when using my wireless bluetooth earbuds to connect to the tv when watching tv late at nigh. i do not have the additional protection because i bought it once, and it didn't come in handy when i needed it - i just bought a new set. anyway, it's unfortunate because i've only had the tv for a short time, and i hope this isn't a sign of more problems to come.

Hi Michele,
Thank you for your review of the AU8000 Crystal UHD TV. We appreciate you sharing your experience with hearing an odd sound coming from your TV. Abnormal sounds will have different causes depending on where the sound originates from. If the TV is connected to an external audio device, please make sure that the audio cable is connected to the correct audio output connector on the external device.
For antenna or cable connections, check the Signal Information. A low signal level may cause sound distortions. Go to: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information
You may also want to run a Sound Test by going to : Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test
Should this not resolve your issue or identify the cause, please contact Samsung Customer Support for additional assistance and troubleshooting support. You can reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

Flaky Performance LL

Just received a response to my first review. Turn off AnyNet+. Really? Well, if I turn off AnyNet+ then my SONOS Beam soundbar does not work. I have a SONOS Arc on a new LG tv. It works flawlessly. Samsung - how can disabling AnyNet be a reasonable solution when I need it to use the equipment???? Wish I had bought an LG instead of the Samsung.

Hi MDMulle,
I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing trouble connecting your AU8000 TV to your Sonos soundbar. Please be sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet Channel (sometimes called HDMI HEC cable). Also, be sure to enable HDMI-eARC in the Expert Settings menu.
Lastly, please also verify that you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

A few suggestions
on October 31, 2021

i love the color and simplicity of changing channels. what i don't like is the difficulty in downloading apps like cbs. do the search and gives you the news apps but not the cbs app itself. also the constant voice about changing stations and adjusting volumes and reading every line of information is very bothersome. may i suggest that samsung place the major networks apps (abc, nbc, cbs) on the television with the option of deleting them. a more comprehensive instruction booklet would also be helpful for on screen instructions are not comprehensive at times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Model Issues
on December 9, 2021

1st au8000 on 11/12 after listening to a constant clicking 24/7, 2nd au8000 11/24 astonished tv is doing same thing. it does not have anything to due with the tv heating up because the clicking stops if you unplug it from the outlet. researching on the internet, there are many other consumers with this issue. samsung why aren't you pulling this particular model since you know there is an issue? this is very discouraging as i have been a decades old customer.

Hi Taylor,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your experience with a clicking noise from the TV when it is powered off. Please know, certain components within the TV may temporarily cause clicking or ticking noises, even when powered off. Additionally, occasional creaking, popping, or cracking may be heard due to the expansion or contraction of the materials used to assemble the TV. These sounds do not indicate a product malfunction and the TV is safe to use.
Should you ever have questions or need help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.
