Good tv but definitely could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the primary tv in the living room. Used for streaming and gaming. It's been a good tv but could be improved with a brightness setting. Some movies and tv shows are too dark to even see what's going on. You have to rely on the sound to piece together the parts you can't see. I played the same tv show on the tv and my tablet once just to see what I was missing.

Hi Klukes,

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the brightness of your AU8000 TV’s picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

I recommend using Dynamic Picture Mode which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and more. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings.

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode

Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection.

Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update.

Not much to complain about

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung TVs are among the best in my mind. The minimalist remote is not an issue and voice control works very well. This TV operates fast and I am never yelling at it to connect to the internet like I have to with some of my other brand smart tvs. Excellent picture quality. You can't go wrong with this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for using Bluetooth acessaries. I stream a lot and Samsung is wonderful for steaming. TV is on 24 hours per day with absolutely no problems.

This is only my second Samsung but you can bet I will never buy another brand. Even my old Samsung I have in my bar is still great which turned me on to this one. You will not be disappointed.

This television went beyond my expectations!!

Makes my family feel like we are at the movie theater.. great TV and RECOMEND.. I can't leave out the picture quality.. You can see the pores on faces. We use this TV mostly for Movie watching.. it has been great not having to go to the actual movie theater. Also the slim aspect of the TV is great.. Fits just like a picture on the wall. From 0-100 I give this TV a 120.. Good job samsumg and keep it up!!
