Amazing Picture

Paired with A6 series sound bar gives it that added boost of movie quality sound. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Use it as a giant extra monitor!

Best picture

6 years. This Samsung, on a recommendation from my son, has the most beautiful picture, easy to set up and hook up features I've ever experienced...and I have owned many. I have 4 more tv's in my home..(Toshiba, LG, and an older Sony) that will be replaced in the near future by Samsung without question. Everyone in the family agrees...4 other tv's in the house, but they all want to be on the Samsung...whether for movies, streaming, games, etc. I appreciate a great product for a fair price...so does my wife.

Brightness Problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv works great but the picture is really dark despite raising the brightness levels to the point I cannot watch certain shows that involve nighttime scenes.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with the AU8000 TV. Your feedback regarding image quality is important to us and will be shared with our internal teams.
In addition to fine-tuning your TV's Expert Picture Settings, you can also select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Please also make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update
