Hate the remote.

dislike like this tv. picture and sound good. have to put up with start up menu each time you turn it on. the “simplified” remote makes using the tv cumbersome.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great tv with clear picture. no longer need amazon firestick because it has all the same apps. this set is only 1 inch thick, which was what i want for my mounting location.

tv works, nothing exciting. colors not too vivid and sound sucks. it is mounted on articulating arm and tv is so flimsy i'm afraid to move it. best thing was availability. bixby is temperamental, works when it wants and is slow.

You may want to try adjusting the settings to improve your picture and sound.
Your TV has several Picture Modes to choose from allowing you to enjoy content in optimal conditions. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with additional functions.
Additionally, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to: Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings
You may also want to adjust sensitivity setting to optimize Bixby's response. You can adjust from low to medium (default), or high by going to Settings > General > Voice > Voice Assistant > Voice Wake-Up

had for couple weeks and dish prime and paramount + all good but stil no samsung tv talked to tech several times wants me to update something i’m 66 years old and don’t feel like working on a new tv otherwise good tv

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the streaming services on your TV and needing to update the TVs firmware. You can update in three ways: through the Internet, with a USB device, or automatically.
1) Internet: On your TV, navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, and then select Update Now. If an update is available, it will automatically install, and the TV will restart automatically. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. If there is no update available, select OK to exit. Make note of the current version that is displayed on your TV screen to the right.
2) Sometimes, new software versions will be available on Samsung.com before they are available in your TV's Support menu. The latest software version can be downloaded from the download center by selecting your TV's type and model. If the version on the website is a later version than the one displaying on your TV: a. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.) b. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV. c. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes. d. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
Try to use the app that wasn't working before and see if the problem has been resolved.
3) Automatically: You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. The TV updates automatically while you are watching.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.
When the background update is completed, it is applied the next time the TV is turned on. If you agree to the Smart Hub terms and conditions, Auto Update is set to On automatically. If you want this function disabled, use the Select button to turn it off.

omg! i absolutely love, love, love this tv. the picture quality, color contrasts, and clarity is unparalled. it almost feels as if the scenes are taking place right in my loving room. i don’t think i will ever get tired of watching any programming on this tv. i highly recommend it!!

the tv is a great product. love the picture. it almost lost out to a visio but i trusted the color and clarity due to seeing shak's face on it in the store. i will admit the remote is a little tricky to learn how to use but i think i'm getting the hang of it now.

our first smart tv. took us awhile to get use to it and how to use the settings. picture is beautiful and the tv is easy to use. i wasn't liking the tinny sound but i read some of these comments and saw in the response how to adjust the sound in the settings. it's much better now and we re comfortable with the sound now. great tv. glad we chose this one. **** i think people have to understand the settings before they downgrade the product. maybe a better manual would work.
