Sound sync challnges

while video quality is what i/we expected, we have had significant challnges trying to get the sound to properly sync with the video. have gone though all the intial checks (firmware is most current, tested multiple inputs [all the same], even purchased a samsung soundbar [hw-450] hoping to get a reasonable sync.
have tried bluetooth and opitical (bluetooty worse) connections between tv and soundbar, have tried all different combinations of sound settings … “standard” with 80-90 ms sound delay best … but still inconsistent results … and poor for news / intervew as lips not well synced with sound.
very frustratung … will be contacting samsung for advice/troubleshooting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sound delays you are experiencing.

It could possibly be a source issue, but if you are hearing an audio delay across all sources/channels and you have a Soundbar connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay

Please know that our 2021 TVs do have an audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.

On your TV go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through

Nice picture but unreliable.

the picture looks great, but the smart features are unreliable. despite thorough troubleshooting, the tv cannot reliably connect to smart features and the remote needs to be re-paired to the television repeatedly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for choosing Samsung’s AU8000 TV and for sharing the issues you are experiencing with Smart features. Please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1805.4 which includes various performance and stability updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

If you press any key on the remote, and the LED indicator at the top of your remote stays on for about 3 seconds rather than blinking, please try the following steps to reset your remote:
1) Long press the RETURN key and ENTER key together for about 10 seconds if your remote was once paired already with the TV, you do not need to re-pair it again. However, if it was not paired with the TV, pairing must be done after the reset.
2) The RETURN key is on the left side of your remote and looks like a curved, backwards pointing arrow.
3) The ENTER key is the button in the center of your directional ring.

Great Deal

i decided it was time to get rid of my 100 pound, heat generating "flat screen tv." after a lot of searching, i purchased the au8000. so far, i love it. the initial setup was extreamly easy and once i signed into all my apps, it was ready to go. the tiny remote was also easy to learn and pretty much controls everything. the first time i watched some of my favorite hd tv shows, it was like watching a totally different show, almost seemed like 3d. i have it linked with my google nest and it meshed seamlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i really like this tv!! the picture quality is great. the sound is great. my only complain is sometimes when i turn the tv on, the colors look washed out. i have to turn it off and turn it back on for the colors to look normal. overall, i really enjoy the tv! i just wish i would’ve gone bigger! i would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Your TV has several Picture Modes to choose from allowing you to enjoy content in optimal conditions. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if the picture you are seeing is not to your liking.

Go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with functions such as Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Picture Clarity Settings, and many more.

Great Samsung Picture, interface needs work

i only buy tvs from two manufacturers and samsung is one of them. it's the best value for the money and the ones i've had have provided years of reliable service. this tv has a wonderful picture and that's really why you buy a tv -- for the picture. but the "smart" features interface is clunky -- it needs a one-button on the remote to get you to the settings, not a scroll left up down right press just to change the video setting or connect a bluetooth headset -- which brings me to my other complaint: although i am sitting less than 10 feet from the tv, bluetooth still disconnects during normal channel changing -- and i am using a top of the line headset. overall, this is a great set for the money if you don't mind ending up with remote control fatigie.
I would recommend this to a friend!
