Died in less than one year

I bought this less than one year ago. I use it daily, follow recommended care instructions. Within the last month, the machine had started giving the error that the head of the machine needed to be cleaned every single time I used it. I cleaned, rinsed, descaled, factory reset-- nothing worked. Sometimes I'm able to get it to make a cup of coffee, but 99% of the time it throws the flashing orange error and won't do anything. I see a lot of other reviews expressing similar challenges. I would not recommend this machine for future buyers. The longevity of the product is not there, and this model just does not have the quality that Nespresso claims for its products.

We certainly want your Nespresso experience to be special and exactly to your satisfaction. For the Vertuo Next, we recommend allowing the machine to fully warm up before pressing the button to start the brew. The Vertuo Next machine powers off automatically after two minutes of non-use. To turn your machine on, press the button once and the cup button light will begin to pulse slowly for about 30 seconds, indicating the “warm-up” phase. Once the light is steady the machine is ready for use. After a Nespresso capsule has been inserted for brewing, close the head, and ensure the lever is fully locked. The lever must go past the lock symbol and there should be a slight click sound when fully locked. Press the cup button once to begin coffee preparation. The cup button light will begin to blink. However, it may take a moment before the flow begins as the machine is reading the bar code and pre-wetting the capsule. Once the machine is finished brewing, the cup button light will become solid. Open the head by turning the lever all the way to the right to eject the capsule into the capsule container. Replace Often, rinse and repeat!

My first lasted 7mo and leaked water everywhere. The second works sporadically and need to unplug / replug in to brew a cup. It will brew and only a portion of coffee comes out.
The coffee is great, but the machine is junk. Amazed they cannot build a machine that works.
From other reviews this seems like a known problem.

Broken down too soon...

My husband and I love thee coffee. Unfortunately, our machine stopped working after a little over a year with minimal use. The reviews are true, this machine is built with very poor quality.

DO NOT!!! LITERALLY PICK ANY OTHER MACHINE!!!

I bought this product three months ago and was so excited. After a month of semi-regular use, we began to have issues. Now the machine needs to be factory reset every time we want to make an espresso. Not to mention it is extremely loud. We will be replacing this with another machine, please do not waste your money on this one!!!!

Completely stopped working at 5 months.

We received a Vertuo Next machine as a wedding gift and absolutely loved it for approximately 2 months. And then we didn’t. At first it started doing to the death blinking where you have to factory reset the machine several times before it would work probably again. The first couple of times it happened the machine would continue to work fine for another 2 weeks before the process had to be done again. And then it happened progressively more often until one day it just wouldn’t turn on. We spent hundreds of dollars on coffee pods that are now useless. It also leaked from the time we got it. That wasn’t a huge deal when it was working properly but is definitely more annoying combined with the fact the it’s completely stopped working. I’m only writing this review because after doing extensive research it seems that this is a very known issue WITH THIS SPECIFIC MODLE and I don’t understand why they are still selling it.

Not Worth The Money

This nespresso machine was a gift to me for my birthday and I was super psyched to make good use of it because I'm such a coffee drinker. The machine was great at first until I ran into the first issue. Water kept leaking out of the water capsule and to this day, I'm still unable to figure out why. I made sure the water capsule was securely in its place but water would still leak out. There was one time when my kitchen counter and floor was flooded with water because of the leakage. Extremely frustrating to deal with first in the morning when you just want to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Second and most frustrating thing of all is that there were multiple times when the machine wouldn't brew the coffee. I've gone on Nespresso's troubleshooting page for my machine and followed the steps to clean and reset machine to factory mode but nothing would fix the issue. The only thing I noticed was in order to fix the issue was to not use the machine for a while. I've reached out to nespresso several times but the ball was dropped and no real solution was offered to me. Now, I'm stuck with the same issues since Friday where the machine wouldn't brew. I would not recommend this machine since there are so many defects to it.

Leaks

Not a very well designed machine. This thing started leaking and would not take the commands to clean it.
