Buy a different machine!

I am currently shopping for a new vertuo machine because I have so many pods left, and this machine broke on me. I got this machine a little over a year ago (just past the warranty) and it stopped brewing coffee. The light doesn't even turn on anymore when I plug it back in. I talked to the service people and they told me to descale it even though it does not even suck up water! I am unbelievable disappointed in Nespresso for still selling this machine since I hear so many people complaining about this machine. Save your money and get a different machine! This will barely last a year! I am not a person to overuse the machine either, I used it at most once a day and it still broke. For the money you pay for this machine, it should last more than a year. I have a 8 year old Keurig that is still running. Again I am so disappointed in Nespresso I truly loved this machine until it broke on me!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coffee is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was looking for a replacement for the keurig I got several years ago, it was tough due to the similar options available. The vertuo next is the maker I decided upon, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. The only problem is that the coffee pods are not sold in stores. However, the quality is addictive.
Pros: Easy to Use, Does not take up too much room on my countertop, Makes Delicious Espresso Drinks (Cappuccino, Latte etc.)
Cons: Other

Horrible machine

After 3 months and a few coffee the deadly red light came and the machine just stoped working.... google it and you will see it happens sooner or later with this machine! Don't know how they keep selling it. NO troubleshooting will recover it!

Great Design. Poor quality. I had two die!

I received a Next for Christmas. Very well designed but not reliable. Died after 2.5 months. I exchanged it under warranty. The unit I received was dead on arrival.

Avoid this model at all cost

Breaks easily. Pain to repair and own. I have had it sent in for repair for longer than I have been able to use it.
I like the app connectivity and I hope more models get that in the future.
Get the VertuoPlus over this.

Better coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Nespresso Vertuo Next looking for something better than the existing pod coffee maker I had. The Verturo definitely makes better coffee than the old machine and I would have given it 5 stars but there was an issue with the Verturo I purchased. It wouldn’t connect to the downloaded app and would occasionally balk at making coffee. Called customer service and after running through several “tests” they agreed there was an issue and sent a replacement machine. The new one is working fine and making numerous different coffee types very nicely thank you

Not an upgrade over previous Vertuo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Vertuo failed after years of use so I upgraded (I thought) to this machine. Pros - Looks slightly better? Cons - Mechanical lid is now manual, and quite a pain to close. Seems like I downgraded when buying this machine.

Works until it brakes (1-2 years max lifetime)

works great and makes great coffee, until it works!! frequent software and hardware issues reported, i have had two of these both similar issues including not detecting the pod, not brewing, different blinking-colored lights (blue light green, etc.) it seems this design has a lifetime of 1-2 years max until it breaks down and not be able to brew coffee.
