Worst Machine Ever Owned

Poor design by the Nespresso team. The machine leaks from the bottom whenever it is cleaned and descaled. It is out of service after only less than one year. Should've just kept my Keurig, that has been working over 8+ years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

5th time is not a charm

We have had this machine replaced 4 times within the last year. It breaks frequently and they finally just suggested an upgraded version. Crossing my fingers. Thank goodness that my original Nespresso machine still functions....old trusty.

On my 2nd machine in a 13 months

Purchased one last November after owning Lattissima model for a few years with no issues. This one worked well (most of the time) but a few weeks it started leaking at the bottom. Bought a replacement since I love Nespresso coffee so much and willing to give it another try. Fingers crossed it lasts longer than a year.

For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next machine, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week. This Machine is not worth the headache. It’s always having some kind of an issue.

Great machine… for a few months.

Machine made fantastic coffee for a few months, then we started having problems. We followed the maintenance guidelines, and still had issues with the coffee not dispensing properly. We called Nespresso 4 times trying to resolve the issue. Once, doing a complete factory reset fixed the problem, but nothing else since. They determined the laser must be faulty and kept telling us a return label would be sent ( via UPS). After 2 months of checking emails and spam, and calling customer care again and again, they never arrived. We are so disappointed in the customer care. We feel like we are being brushed off and they will not honor the warranty. We really miss our great coffee, but what can we do? They do not accept repairs being brought into the stores, either. We have heard from a few other people that they have had issues with the Vertuo Next, but not the Vertuo Plus, so we might try that. Bottom line, great machine if it’s working. Not so great when it comes to honoring their warranty. So, good luck if you purchase this machine.

Breaks down

I bought this last year and have had to get it replaced 2 times. This us now the 3rd time and when they told me that model was on backorder I said great give me a different kind. Crossing my fingers this original machine has worked well. When I asked if it was going to be better then the Next Vertuo they said it had the best reviews. Why they have even made the Vertuo Next and keep making it after all the negative reviews is beyond me.

Breaking up after 4 months...

LOVED this machine for 4 months, then it kept giving me error lights/messages (I agree with a previous review that the instructions are NOT helpful). So I cleaned it, then descaled it and proceeded to waste 5 Peppermint Pinwheel pods (noooo!) because the machine would act like it was going to work, and then flash orange and stop. I did contact customer service and they were EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!! did some troubleshooting and determined my machine has a software issue so they are replacing it. I chose a different Nespresso for the replacement. I DO recommend the Nespresso, but not this model (Vertuo Next).

Let me just say, I was incredibly psyched that nespresso came out with a larger cup size machine… purchased in November 2021, within a month, it broke.. customer service gladly sent a replacement, fast forward less than two weeks with the machine and again, it’s broken. Just flashes blue and then absolutely nothing happens… they’re sending me another vertuo machine, but the plus. Hopefully this one won’t break within a week or two of having it… def do not boy the next! It’s a great concept, but it isn’t reliable.

A blinking light on the Vertuo Next machine can indicate your machine is not closed correctly, requires descaling or the water tank is empty.
