Significant downgrade from VirtuoPlus

I previously owned the VertuoPlus until it gave out after 2 years. I thought getting the Vertuo Next was going to be the next step up. Wrong. It's a significant downgrade from the VirtuoPlus. Some of the inconveniences this model has compared to the Plus include: 1) The space between cup shelf and the nozzle is smaller, so now my larger mugs won't fit. Taking the holder off and putting the cup on the counter isn't a help, as the coffee nozzle is too close to the machine and drips it down the side of the larger mug 2) The water tank is significantly smaller 3) Machine feels cheap and rickety, and always feels like its one lid close away from falling apart. 4) The pods drop into a much smaller holder 5) The holder of the empty pods is disgusting. It is virtually impossible to dump it out without getting coffee grounds or black liquid everywhere. Whoever designed it clearly never tried emptying it before putting it on the market. Overall this model looks sleek, but is a significant step backward for a company we have loved for years. We have heard very similar complaints from 2 other friends who also purchased this model.

Disappointed

We got our first machine as a wedding shower gift. After 8 months the machine died. They sent us a new one and less than 2 months later this one is also dead. I am so disappointed as I had one of the older machines and it was amazing!!! But these newer models don't last. It doesn't make sense to me.

We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body, and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. Horrible!

This machine is horrible. Nonstop issues with the blinking orange light no matter how much I cleaned, descaled or even used distilled water. 2nd Nespresso machine and I am so bummed I switched to this one... Such a disappointment and only lasted 1 year.

footprint is too large

the water tank on the side is a deal break for me, it doubles foot print and prevents this machine from being the space saver it claims to be. I really want a vertuo machine, but may have to go with the orginal capsules

Thank you for your feedback. We regret to learn that our Vertuo Pop Plus did not meet your expectations. We are here to assist and would like to suggest our VertuoPlus, which features an adjustable water tank option, or our Vertuo Next machine, with the water tank positioned at the back.
The VertuoPlus is more comparable in size, measuring W 8.7 in, H 12.7 in, and D 12.8 in, while the Vertuo Next may be slightly larger than expected, with dimensions of W 5.5 in, H 12.4 in, and D 16.8 in.

Disappointed in this product

My machine is only a month old, and already having problems. I was encouraged to purchase a vertuo machine after my daughter told me how convenient the coffee is to make, and that it always had high quality foam on top of each cup. When I make a cup of coffee, all of the foam that is supposed to be on top of the brew somehow ends up in the pod receptacle. This happens with every brew cycle no matter the size of the pod. I have done multiple clean cycles, made sure there are no loose parts, and made sure there are no grounds stuck in the machine. It is very frustrating to have a new item that does not work as advertised.

Do not buy this!

By far the worst consumer electronic I have ever owned. I bought my original one a little over a year ago and I have now replaced that original one 2 times due to electronic failure. The third still makes coffee but leaks all over the counter. This company clearly knows they have a flawed product but continues to push it!

Vertuo machine

My son is having the same issue with leaking. I called Nespresso since I am a client for so many years but I am very disappointed that instead of replacing the machine they will try to fix it and I am the one who has to ship it and wait for I don’t know for how long.

Love the Coffee... HATE this garbage product

I have had an original Nespresso machine that I bought almost 10 years ago and still works to this day. I love it. I bought the Vertuo Next for my wife since she likes to drink big coffees. It has been nothing but headaches from day one. We're lucky if we get a month of coffee out of these things before they break. We're on our third Vertuo Next at the moment, and all of them have had consistent leaks before they ultimately stop working. Customer service was great with the first broken product and replaced it right away. After that one, they've insisted that we send the machine in for repairs, however, they cannot seem to repair these horrible garbage products. They just send us a new one to leak on our counter and break down after a month of use. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS MACHINE. Super disappointed in Nespresso for continuing to sell this junky machine.
