Very Unhappy - Wish I Had Read the Reviews

I wish I had read the reviews before putting this model on my wedding registry. I generally only drink 1 cup of coffee per day and still need to run the cleaning cycle every 5-7 days. Making a second cup of coffee in the same morning only works every 1/10 times. I feel like I'm a slave to this machine with all the constant cleaning. Customer service is nice-ish but their only solution is to have me sit on the phone with them for 20 minutes running troubleshooting (which basically amounts to some variation of the cleaning cycle which solves the problem for 1 or 2 days)...on a busy weekday morning this is a HUGE pain. I've also wasted so much money on pods that go unused when the orange light starts blinking. Ultimately, I'm really disappointed in this product and wish I could switch to a different model. At the end of the day, I have a closet full of pods that need to get used so I will probably continue to waste time and resources on this machine but would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY IT.

Leaking

This is the worst machine ever made by nespresso. This machine started flashing orange lights and leaking.

Worst rated Nespresso model? For a reason. There's clear engineering flaws with the Next. I'm on my second after the first one died maybe six months in, and the warrantied replacement Next is now doing the same things - stops reading pods, grinds and blinks at you, needs more and more service to work. Yes, I clean and de-scale and all that time suck leads to more time suck on the phone with scripted troubleshooters. Got a few extra hours for all this? My old Keurig lasted for years without a problem, without weekly cleans and de-scales and calls to the hotline. If it weren't for the plastic I might go back.

Disappointed in the quality of the machine

I have had a Vertuo Next for close to a year now... when it works, it makes a GREAT cup of coffee, and I love the various blends and roasts of the coffees. BUT, I have had to call support a handful of times to troubleshoot the recurring issues that I have when I cannot resolve them. After multiple support calls, Nespresso is finally replacing my machine. Hopefully, the problems I have been having are due to a defective device and not the overall quality of the Vertuo Next.

Keeps breaking

I am already on my 3rd unit and this one has now stopped working. I keep strict to the maintenance guidelines (Removing pods, weekly flush, clean nozzle, descale). Read a lot via other channels on similar issues. When it works the coffee is really great.

Broken after 2 months

I got this machine for Christmas, it started acting up in Feb, sometimes it would just not work at all, but then would work again a couple hours later. Now it's March- it will not make a cup of coffee at all. It is leaking out of the bottom all over my counter. I don't even use this machine every day, so the fact that it is completely broken after 3 months shows how horribly it's put together.

I’ve had nespresso machines before that have worked great. We (wife and I) upgraded to this model, and it’s very poorly built, constantly breaks down needing resets and descales. Lasted about 6 months the first time and then everything after that has been awful. Breaks every month or so.

On our second machine and counting….

I suppose it’s a relief that we aren’t the only ones fed up with this machine. We’re on our second one in eight months. We frequently clean and descale, but it just stops working nearly every day after we brew one pod. Either me or my wife will make a cup of coffee in the morning, and the next person goes to try and it just doesn’t work. We go through the same annoying routine of ejecting pods, factory resetting, opening and closing multiple times, unplugging for 10+ seconds, anything possible to get it to work, until finally it brews another cup. I don’t know why this specific machine is so much worse than the other Vertuos. We love Nespresso, but I’m running out of patience…
