Absolutely terrible machine!

As a long-time and devoted Nespresso fanboy, I bought this machine some time ago and it worked for a while, but now, after a brief hiatus, it flashes a double orange light. I try to descale it, but it won't even let me! I search the internet for help and discover that many people are apparently having a similar issue. I try to factory reset, but it won't let me because I need to descale, but can't because it doesn't recognize the insanely complicated descale kabuki dance I'm trying and failing to perform.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body, and aroma in each brew. Get a different machine

Don’t recommend the next. Had a lot of problems over the last two years- Software issues, pump issues (x2), latch very difficult to close latch. Machine has always been replaced with no cost, but have spend several hours on the phone with support.

I bought this machine last week and planned to replace it with an older model of the Vertuo that I have. The reason I wanted the Pop Plus was because it brews more sizes like alto/XL, and my current Vertuo only brews four cup sizes. I have use it every day since I purchased it. So far compared to my older model this machine seems more cheaply made. I struggle with close and lock feature each time. Every time I close it down it seems like its not locked in placed and you have to fiddle with it to be sure. The plastic used here just seems cheaper while my older model had a sturdy locking system. Secondly, when I brew coffee this machine seems to produce triple the amount of foam then my other machine when brewing so your left with less coffee and more foam. I am good with an inch or so of foam but this more than half the cup. I have stir each cup to settle the foam which is annoying when I am in a rush in the mornings. Lastly and most important the machine spout is set so low you cant fix your alto (nespresso cup) or a taller cup under the spout! Why oh why if its suppose to brew even larger sizes than my other machine is the spout set to low on this machine. My other machine only brewed up to 7.7 oz and there was still plenty of room to place a large cup underneath. It is so inconvenient and annoying that I have to use two cup when it is process of brewing and then transfer the two cups it brewed into one large cup simply because the spout is set too low to fix my tall cup under it! I regret buying this machine, and having two large sizes to brew was not worth the inconvenience of the short spout and my current nespresso cups not fitting underneath.

Great coffee, garbage machine.

The coffee is amazing. It’s the best in-house coffee I’ve had from a machine. The machine on the other hand is pretty cheaply made. My first machine lasted from November to July. My second machine lasted 2 1/2 weeks before it broke. I highly recommend looking into a different machine.

Orange flashing light / Worst Machine EVER

We replaced our old Virtuo machine with this piece of junk, alas. Within a week, we were googling how to make it stop flashing orange—which is something it does every couple of days. It’s less than a month old. I mean, seriously? Would not recommend this machine to anyone.

Breaks easily

I bought this last Christmas and have had 4 replacement machines. They all stopped working or malfunctioned. Don't waste your money.

This thing is a total design disaster

This is a total design disaster. I've never seen any other consumer product (right, not just among coffee machine) breaks down this often (like fail after every 10 runs). When you need coffee most, it just refuses to work and waste your pods. The time it takes to fix it is way more than the time it saves you from using a pre-made (expensive) pods.
