Big Mistake!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Nespresso-Vertuo and was totally disappointed. The machine is very and awkward to open and close. I have arthritis and it was very painful to open and close the machine each time. The machine is very loud and noisy. It barely made half a cup of coffee, wasting the coffee pods because I had to use to each time. Also, if there is not enough water in the containers it won't warn you it just makes a few drops of coffee. It's hard to get the used pods out to clean it out. The water container is also hard to reach and remove and replace. The worst part is that the coffee is only lukewarm, so by the time I got to work with my thermos, the coffee was already cold, I work 15 minutes from home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible purchase

purchased the virtuo next just before christmas. it worked well for the first month. loved the coffee. then no matter what we did, descale, cleaning, resetting to factory settings, cleaning all aspects of the inside on a daily basis, help from the troublershooting folks at nespresso, this machine is unreliable and won’t brew. the white light comes on then the red light blinks twice, meaning that it is unable to recognize the pod in it. Have replaced with a new pod but always with the same result. the troubleshooting people keep won’t allow a replacement to the machine until they try to make it work. Even after all of this, I have given up on the machine and nespresso. I do NOT recommend the purchase of this machine.

We certainly want your Nespresso experience to be special and exactly to your satisfaction. Please allow us to provide some user tips that may help. Open the upper head unit and carefully grab around the rotating unit to rotate it all the way around one way, then all the way around the other way, until the rotating unit spins easily. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked with a slight click sound. Firmly press the cup button once and the coffee will dispense shortly. For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week. The Vertuo Next comes with a one-year warranty and a lifetime of troubleshooting support through Nespresso. Does not last

We’ve had three that all stopped working after about three months. Great up until that point! But soooooo unreliable and short-lived. Choose a different model.

Nespresso Pop-ing Into the Future with Vertuo Pop+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vertuo Pop Plus is small and sleek -perfect for apartment living with limited counter space! I also travel with a Nespresso for vacation and having a petite one will make this much easier! I have owned Nespresso machines since 2017 and am pleasantly surprised at the nice details and upgrades this new machine offers. The capsule disposal is hidden within the machine which I love. Also, this machine can connect to the Nespresso app on your phone which is super cool. It is going to make the cleaning and descaling process a lot simpler for me! Overall, extremely pleased with this new machine!

Have to buy new machine to use Alto capsules :/

I haven’t tried the Vertuo Next machine but I have been waiting about two years for the Vertuo Alto capsule size to return. Now that it finally has, it doesn’t work with my Vertuo Plus machine! If I want to use alto capsules I have to purchase another machine. This feels like bad customer appreciation! Seriously considering ending my longtime relationship with Nespresso.

Thanks for your review. We understand your disappointment regarding the Alto blends not brewing in your VertuoPlus machine models. Our Alto, Pour Over Style, and Cold Brew blends, were created to brew in the Vertuo Next, Vertuo Pop+, and Vertuo Creatista machine. You may brew an Intenso capsule in the same cup twice, as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Intenso, in addition to brewing Melozio twice as an alternative to the discontinued Alto Dolce. We trust you will find this information useful, to enjoy the previously offered 14 oz. cup of coffee.

Spring for the bigger model!

This machine is extremely noisy and does not have a stable base. When you go to close the latch the entire machine moves. Very disappointing purchase for the price.

Great coffee, but...

(Vertuo Pop+) Returned after one month because: #1 The coffee temperature was barely warm, thus I had to heat it up in the microwave, every time. Background; Most coffee shop brews are too hot for me. A typical Starbucks coffee I have to let sit for a few minutes with the lid off, to cool to a comfortable temp for me. This machine produces great coffee but at a temperature that is only warm. I've read other reviews that have stated this also. #2 It's so loud! And vibrates on the counter! #3 The slide mechanism that empties the used pod into the bin stopped working after only a few uses. Not a big deal, but it's something. It does brew great tasting coffee, but if you like it on the hotter side, the machine I got didn't make it that way.
After some research, I purchased the VertuoPlus ( Breville, rounded top), and what a difference. The temp is more on the hotter side, I could even let it sit for a minute for the temp to calm down a little for me. And it's much quieter, just a pleasant humm. The water tank is larger, and can be moved to either side or behind the machine. The one touch electric opening and closing is a bonus, and the pod disposal slide is working fine. I think this one is a keeper and I hope it lasts for years.
