horrible machine

I brought this machine and was so excited to get it. I had another Nespresso machine for 6 years and it was great but it broke and I needed another one quick. Out of the box this did not work. Where is the QC control before it leaves the factory? I returned it within a day and now I will just wait until black Friday to get the tried and true older model. You would think with all these bad reviews on this product that something would be done or get it off the market. I was also behind another person returning the same product. Love Nespresso coffee, hated this machine!

No crema from this machine; it's more like a Keurig. After owning the machine for 11 months it stopped making coffee. I am waiting on a replacement- a different model. I do not recommend this model. On another note. Nespresso has exceptional customer service.

I purchased this machine a year ago. It's been replaced once but still has the same problem. Water/coffee leaks into the pod holder and is a minor pain. The water container/tank is not visible from the front and some what awkward to fill. On the plus side it takes up less room on my kitchen counter and makes good coffee. I really wish I had my old Vertuo back. Gave it to a friend who loves it so that's a plus.

Thank you for your review, Eame. The water in your capsule container would be backflow that occurs during the brewing cycle. This is a natural part of the Vertuo Next brewing process, and should be emptied frequently, along with your used capsules.

Stopped working

We loved the machine it makes great coffee but after 1 year and half of having the machine and about 8 waisted pods assuming it might have been the pods we had to toss it. we kept up with the maintenance on the descaling but it once leaked from the bottom. At the end we would place a new pod and it will start spinning then two red lights would flash nothing will happen. I wouldn't recommend buying it. they should have a display screen or show in the app what is wrong instead of two red flashing lights.

Stopped working

I had bought my first Nespresso back in December and was so excited, it broke down three months in. Contacted customer care, they were supper helpful and sent me out a new one. The only problem is now that one stopped working overall as well.

Terrible

Machine worked fine for a couple of months. Broke down and refuses to brew coffee. Wasted so many pods trying to figure out what was wrong. Mind you there is only one button so how difficult can it be. It doesnt matter how many times you reset or (deep) clean the machine.
We had the machine replaced for a new one a week ago and had the same problem instantly. 0/10 would not recommend this machine at all.
I am a loyal Nespresso customer but this machine is not it. Buy a different model

Big Mistake!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Nespresso-Vertuo and was totally disappointed. The machine is very and awkward to open and close. I have arthritis and it was very painful to open and close the machine each time. The machine is very loud and noisy. It barely made half a cup of coffee, wasting the coffee pods because I had to use to each time. Also, if there is not enough water in the containers it won't warn you it just makes a few drops of coffee. It's hard to get the used pods out to clean it out. The water container is also hard to reach and remove and replace. The worst part is that the coffee is only lukewarm, so by the time I got to work with my thermos, the coffee was already cold, I work 15 minutes from home.

Horrible purchase

purchased the virtuo next just before christmas. it worked well for the first month. loved the coffee. then no matter what we did, descale, cleaning, resetting to factory settings, cleaning all aspects of the inside on a daily basis, help from the troublershooting folks at nespresso, this machine is unreliable and won’t brew. the white light comes on then the red light blinks twice, meaning that it is unable to recognize the pod in it. Have replaced with a new pod but always with the same result. the troubleshooting people keep won’t allow a replacement to the machine until they try to make it work. Even after all of this, I have given up on the machine and nespresso. I do NOT recommend the purchase of this machine.

Open the upper head unit and carefully grab around the rotating unit to rotate it all the way around one way, then all the way around the other way, until the rotating unit spins easily. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked with a slight click sound. Firmly press the cup button once and the coffee will dispense shortly. For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.
