Makes a lovely cup of espresso

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're on the go and don't have time to tinker with making a nice cup of coffee or espresso - this machine is a winner. Pop in the capsule, press the top button and watch it go to work. It is a bit loud, but most espresso machines are when building up pressure - this one just spins the capsule instead of the traditional methods. It creates a lovely crema on your cup and does a very good job. Now, let's go over the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: Makes a great cup of coffee or espresso. It's quick and easy and only takes one button and making sure your container is below the spout. When you open to put a new capsule in the old one drops into a disposal bin (that is also easy to remove and empty) and accepts the new capsule. Upon startup it does have wifi capability. This may seem like a bad/ugly but it isn't because the only purpose of this is to ensure that you have registered your product and get support if and when you need it. As far as I can tell it does not need to be connected to operate. Its a decent size but small enough to fit anywhere on the counter and looks great as well!
The bad: Proprietary capsules. Each capsule has a barcode the machine scans to create the designed cup of coffee/espresso. This barcode gives all the information - amount of water, pressure, type of coffee/espresso - to the machine to create a cup. If you have your own coffee, or want a specific roast to be different (e.g. want a double shot of espresso instead of just a single shot) you are out of luck. With the capsule they are saying that you better be happy with what the machine makes because there is no alternative.
The ugly: The capsules. I am not a fan of these at all. They are made of thin aluminum and will dent with a slight drop. While that isn't a big deal the big deal is you have no idea what you're going to get until you make your cup of espresso/coffee. Obviously the capsule size indicates what cup/shot you are going to get but as far as flavor goes - you're completely blind until you try it. You do not get to use your own coffee either, as said before. Sure, there are sample packs, but if you have a favorite coffee you'll never be able to make it with this machine unless it is a Nespresso capsule. Another ugly point is that these machines are super prone to errors and malfunctions. This will also ultimately waste money because of the design of the machine when you insert a capsule the machine punctures and functionally "uses" the capsule. In this case, if your machine errors and you open it back up to fix the error - it dumps the capsule in the waste bin without actually using it and making coffee. While I have not experienced any errors I also have not been using this machine for 6+ months, so I have no idea on the longevity of the machine.
Because of the ugly factors here, I am unable to recommend this machine to someone. The only people that I may be able to recommend it to are those who already have a Nespresso capsule they know they like as well as don't know how to properly use a manual espresso machine or are looking into a automatic machine.

Elegant and great coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A beautiful machine, quick to set up rinse the water reservoir and run a cleaning cycle. It comes with a variety of coffee samples to get me brewing (my favorite so far is the caramel cookie). The machine is small enough to fit in small areas and has a beautiful rose gold accent to compliment any kitchen. The included coffee mug is very beautiful, it has become my favorite coffee/tea mug.
Overall, an awesome, easy to use coffee machine. Highly recommended.

Finally found my dream machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought I loved coffee before but this machine takes it to the next level! This is truly the best coffee maker I have ever owned. When I first got it I thought it would be hard to figure out how to use. I have never been more wrong. I now feel like I’m a coffee making expert! Every single cup comes out the perfect temperature! No matter what size you select to make, it comes out strong, rich and frothy every single time.
You can have a coffee one minute and an espresso shot the next! Everyone needs a Nespresso maker in their home.

Love my new espresso machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was chosen to receive this product in an exchange for an honest review. This machine was very easy to put together, easy to follow instructions to download from he app and link the machine to my phone, pods are very easy to place in and lock closed and press the brew button. The espresso was very good and it make very high quality espressos and lattes! I’m definitely not disappointed! The only thing I don’t like is that the water tank is in the back of the machine and you can’t move it on the side to choose if you want it on the side or in the back. With the water tank being in the back it makes the machine long and sticks out to the middle of my counter so it looks funny. Other than that I absolutely love my new Vertuo Next! Thank you so much for the opportunity to try this product!

Makes delicious coffee, works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a lot of trial and error getting the machine up and running, it seems to be going quite smoothly now. I have tried repeatedly to connect the Bluetooth so blinking lights could be easily translated into what the error is. I have to look them up as they appear. The most frequent error message is a blinking orange light which seems to reset after I shake the reservoir a few times. I have not figured out a way around coffee leaking into the used pod reservoir until it overflows. I’ve looked it up and it appears to be a common issue as opposed to operator error. That being said, it does make great coffee and I love that the pods are recyclable.

Superb win by Nespresso

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can tell right away that the quality is much higher than other units. The footprint is also perfect for our smaller countertop, which makes it easy to store and use. Setup was super easy and straightforward. Be sure to give the instructions a look over and schedule time to clean when the descaled alarm sounds.
Perhaps my favorite is having the frother unit as part of this. It’s literally the best for making cappuccinos. Our kiddo loves this so much when we make him a baby cappuccino on the weekends.
They’ve even included a branded glass that fits perfectly in this unit.
Overall, I’m really impressed by the new changes and highly recommend grabbing one for yourself.
It’s not very noisy at all which is a big plus. I find it the be quicker than my previous unit with its fast heat up feature. The capsule ejection is a welcomed addition as well.

I Do Not Recommend the Vertuo Next

Echoing another review that this model should be discontinued. I am so grateful that the customer service/tech rep replaced my replacement machine with a different model. My first Vertuo Next lasted 2 months and was replaced with one that lasted almost 9 months. I’m so thankful that tech support now has video trouble shooting capabilities to see the annoyance that I was going through even after descaling, cleaning, resetting, etc. The temperamental machine was blinking the red light of death and did not go away no matter what was done. Fingers crossed that the next model has a much longer lifespan, but again, I am grateful for the replacement which will be under warranty for 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nespresso Vertuo Next does make a delicious beverage, however the machine itself is rather temperamental. I often spend more time than I feel is necessary just trying to figure out why I keep getting a error light when there's no reason for it. The machine will be throughly cleaned and set up exactly as instructed yet I will get a light indicating that it needs cleaned. While the coffee it makes is delightful, I'm just not sure if that's enough to justify the frustration of operating it.
