We've only had this dryer for a couple of months, but so far it's been pretty awesome! From the look of it, it seems somewhat compact but the internal space holds a lot of clothing/fabrics...My favorite feature is a 20 minute fast dry which had mostly been used to fluff clothes we forget about Lol.
This purchase was for our barn. We have an Electrolux washer dryer in our house. Due to space constraints in our barm we needed full size stackable washer and dryer. Because. Of the reliability of the Electrolux products on our home we decided to continue with Electrolux with our new purchase from our local independent appliance dealer.
I hated to get rid of my old Kenmore dryer, which did everything a dryer should do. But the washer upon which it was stacked needed yet-another expensive repair so we elected to sell it. Naturally the old dryer wouldn't fit on the new washer, so we had to get a whole new set. I'm not in love with the Electrolux dryer. First, the controls seem meaningless. Auto dry continues to run a heated cycle long after the clothes are dry. There is no way to shorten a Time Dry cycle; the shortest cycle is 30 minutes. The lint filter seems very small. Clothes seem to stay in the front of the dryer - I have watched the same towel stay in place for more than 5 minutes, while the back of the dryer spins with nothing in it. Small items like socks, washcloths and napkins get stuck in the rubber gasket. I am planning to give it a couple of weeks more and they contact the seller.

We appreciate your feedback! We are sad to learn that you have such concerns with your new dryer. We want to step in and support you. Please note that initial cycle times for auto-dry cycles are only estimates. The actual drying time may differ slightly from the time displayed. Auto-dry cycles are meant to take the guesswork out of selecting the correct drying time for each load. Moisture sensors sense the moisture level of the load as it tumbles through the heated air. With auto-dry cycles, the load will automatically be dried at the selected temperature to the desired dryness level. When the load has reached the selected dryness level, it will continue to tumble, unheated, during a cool-down period. This helps reduce wrinkling and makes items easier to handle during unloading. Also, did you know that the time dry cycle allows the option to select drying time settings ranging from 30 to 65 minutes? However, for shorter drying times, you can select the Fast-dry cycle (if available on your model), which has preset times of 20 minutes with a preset temperature of high only. Additionally, for delicate or very small loads, add two or three similar items to improve tumbling action. You can also try placing delicate, rubber-coated, or small items in a mesh bag (not included) to help improve tumbling. Lastly, check out this quick video to learn more about understanding your dryer display and controls.

In the short time I have had this dryer, I am not sure whether I like it or not. Sometimes it does not dry all the clothes, so it must not have a sensor. Seems like it takes longer to dry the clothes than my one it replaced, thus I don't see hoe that saves energy. The verdict is still out as to whether or not I am sorry I got it.

Hello, bh62! Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your concerns with your dryer. Please check for the following conditions: make sure that your appliance is connected to a 240-volt circuit, anything less will increase your drying time, and makes sure the drum is turning properly in order for the unit to function properly. Keep in mind that some cycles like "Air Fluff or Air Dry” does not have heat, for heated drying it is important to change the cycle to a heat setting. Larger loads will take longer to dry. Try adjusting your settings to fit your laundry load size. Make sure to leave room for the items in the dryer to tumble freely so you can avoid damp areas on your clothing. It’s recommended to fill the drum 1/3 to ½ full. This also helps reduce wrinkling. A clogged lint filter can cause the unit to not heat properly, so please clean out the lint filter if needed. The exhaust system allows the unit to heat properly. Verify the vent/duct is not crushed, smushed, twisted, or kinked. We hope that this information is useful to you. I bought this along with the washer a few weeks ago. I can’t say enough about this machine. It dries quickly, and efficiently. My clothes come out, smelling great and our ready to be put away. I love the wrinkle release feature. It cut down on my ironing by 75%.
I am unable to unlock the control lock on the dryer using the instructions in the manual.

Oh, no! We're sorry to hear that! You should be able to use the Options button to scroll to "Control Lock" and press Select to turn it off. Or, you can unplug the dryer for 30-120 seconds to reset the computer.
