Dear Kenneth Dotsey,
Thank you for your comment.
We do understand your disappointment with this ZenWiFi and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing disconnect issues with 2.4Ghz devices. To resolve this issue, manually connect your older devices to the 2.4 GHz band by giving them different network names (SSIDs). you can further improve stability by changing the 2.4 GHz band settings, such as disabling "Smart Connect" or lowering the channel bandwidth to 20 MHz. Also, we recommend updating the routers' firmware if it is running with an older version. Firmware is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/whole-home-mesh-wifi-system/zenwifi-wifi-systems/asus-zenwifi-ax-xt8/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=ASUS-ZenWiFi-AX-XT8. Furthermore, place the routers in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
