Great stove when it works

There are definitely some quirks and both of the back burners "auto-ignite" went out in the first few months.

Beauty and power combined

We’ve had this range for almost a month now. Though packaged well, it arrived with two of the legs bent, and Ralph immediately sent replacements out. This is a gorgeous, serious-looking stove with powerful, no-nonsense burners! There are, however, a couple of operations that require a different approach than one would normally use: the surface burners at first appear to have a narrow range of temperatures - the minimum being closer to a medium than low - but if turned toward “off”, you can reduce the flame as low as needed.
The oven, I’ve noticed, has received the most negative reviews. Although it is a bit quirky, if you follow their instructions closely, it works great. I’ve found that there are two critical times when you have to watch the flame: when initially setting the temperature and then when putting the food in - closing the door before the flame enlarges apparently runs the risk of snuffing it out. :( I did that recently but caught it early enough to reset the temperature. My husband’s the pizza-maker in the family (great artisanal made-from-scratch pizza) and has been frustrated over the years with ovens that don’t get/stay hot. This thing is amazing, reaching and maintaining temperatures well over 500 degrees! The broiler performs similarly well.
All in all, we’re extremely happy with this stove and in fact intend to buy another when we move within the year.
