Broke on the first time I used it. It worked for one cicle of processing soft plantains and it stopped working. It no longer spins. It was not over packed and I have done the same amount on my other food processor without a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced my old one

This food processor replaced a very old Black and Decker food processor which I had been using for many years. This one is even better with a few design changes. I hope it will last as long as the old one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This processor was a gifted to me. I have to say, I got it 3 days ago and I've already used it two times. I made a cucumber salad in record time. 😊 And I couldn't be more pleased. I didn't know I needed a food processor! Very simple to use and very simple to clean. Very happy.

Came broken

I bought this one week ago. Went to use for the first time and it will not come on. The outlet works, it is not over packed, trying to make hummus. Went over the instructions multiple times and can not get it to work. Definitely a waste of money.

Horrible at one of the main tasks it should be gre

Shredder blades are extremely dull grinds up the cheese rather than shreds and the space between the blades and entrance is too much so it doesn't work all that well to top it off i only ised it 2 times thus far and every time it smells as if the motor is gunna burn up redesign the lid and get a better motor and sharpen the shredder blades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked wonderfully for a little while and the motor still runs well if you can get the lid on it - won't latch. (Someone else with this problem thought it might have shrunk in the dishwasher - mine has never been in the dishwasher!) On top of that, can't find a replacement so I have this useless motor...what a waste!

Great for simple everyday tasks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Black & Decker 8-in-1 food processor is super easy to set up and use — it’s kind of its main selling point. It handles basic chopping and shredding well and the parts go right in the dishwasher, which I love. It’s lightweight though, so it can wiggle a bit during heavier jobs, and it’s not the best for super-smooth purees. Overall: great for everyday, simple cooking; not a “serious chef” machine.
