[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never owned a dethatcher. I did quite a bit of research and watched multiple You tube videos and decided on this greenworks dethatcher. It exceeded my expectations. It was super easy to assemble, to use and to clean and store. It did a great job thatching my yard and all my neighbors commented on all the piles of dead product I was able to collect afterwards.

I have a riding mower and the clippings are just left on the lawn , i know some thatch is ok but i had years of build up, after using this machine i filled 12- 45 gallon trash bags just on my front lawn [ my lot is 100 x 200 ] the most work is racking up the thatch it pulled out. i would not recomend a machine that baged the thatch as you would be emptying it ever few feet.

This is the first review I have ever written on a product. It works as advertised. What a great job it does. My yard really needed it done and it looks great now. I highly recommend this product. Only negative is I wish it was battery operated as electric cord is extra work and can be a pain at times.

The unit works great. My only complaint is the lack of a bag. Still have to rake up the mess afterwards. Having that would have gotten it 5 stars.
